>peak of DM

ahem

What is better, east coast death metal or west coast death metal?

...

East coast are a bunch of cool dudes and mostly rednecks who make cool ass DM and like to chill

West Coast DM are guys who got tired of metalcore and tried to out edge each other.

East cost, it's not even a contest
East has Florida and NYDM
West has the californian death/thrash, which only have a handful of good bands

Definitely the peak for technical death metal. The drumming in that album is insane.

Excuse me?!

>American metal
>Good

Reminder if you listen to bands not from Europe you are Jimmy Numale

...

*teleports behind you

nothin personnel kid

America has Death, they win no matter what

yeah I wish there was more like it too bad the band went to complete shit

youtu.be/rf3ZMMFSamQ

Overrated

Florida

Lolmao no. I'll give you BM but not DM. Except for Decapitated.

>Priest and Saxon
if you live in one of these cities and don’t attend you’re a nu-male

Some old guy I worked with who was into classic rock & metal gave me a bootleg live Saxon CD (Recorded here in San Antonio) and told me "see this band live if they ever come here its worth it"

I guess I know what I'm buying tickets too.

>tfw dad listens to shit like Nails
>tfw missed the chance to King Diamond together because I was deployed
>no male on his side of the family has seen 60
>he's 44 and im scared

I love you Dad, wouldn't be a metal head without ypu.

Hey fags, just leaving this here: sepulchralproductions.com/collections/preorders/products/forteresse-themes-pour-la-rebellion-lp

for once it's cheaper shipping to canada (and only because it's a canadian distro)

still cool though

reminder that Redeemer of Souls was really good

>Youngstown
Fucks sake

What a cool dad, I'm jealous.
youtube.com/watch?v=F0ekFwCT_Uc

fall to your knees and repent if you please~

Are you scared too? Shit I know I would be If I knew I wont live past 60

*tips fedora*

Chadham Bonnet

this desu

This genre blew it's wad in the 90s, no new music should be made

GOOOOOOOOOOOD
CREAAAAAAAAATOR
DECEIIVEEEEEEEER

most overrated album of all time

It hides in plain sight but your mind tells you its elsewhere.

...

east coast > west coast in general

This was a damn good album.

Is the rest of Venoms discography worth listening to?

that would make a cool tee shirt

...

If you like the style, yeah. It ain't worldbeating or groundbreaking but it's fun enough.

never understood the hate for this band, all I know is that they did deathcore stuff early on.

It's the deathcore stuff. It blew up like crazy so you couldn't get away from the shit, it inspired a thousand other shitty bands and it was pretty terrible even by deathcore standards.

I mean, it wasn't anything like as terrible Waking the Cadavers demon(though people will blame JFAC for that too - WTC rushed it out to catch the trend that JFAC started) but it was bad and inescapable at the time.

>Waking the Cadaver

oh the guy who did "Chased Through the Woods by a Rapist"? yeah that shit was everywhere no wonder people hate that shit.

this album is a fucking meme

Yeah, Scene kids were all over doom, then promptly dropped the band like 6 months later.
Ruination and Sun Eater are fantastic death metal albums though.
youtube.com/watch?v=dxUZufXX4kw
They're a great live band too.

On the topic of deathcore: any recs? I like The Faceless debut and that's pretty much it.
youtube.com/watch?v=dWFnpLUeYrk

Animosity
The Contortionist

Planetary Duality was they're only good album imo.
Their old bassist, Evan Brewer, is a top bloke. Highly recommend his solo albums.

Guys plural. It was a full band rather than a bedroom deal.

Their demo was even worse than the first album. Two of the shitter songs played with some Venom-tier sloppiness and a vocalist that couldn't even pretend he knew the material.

I like some slam, deathcore and dumb fucking music in general but I'd rather tape barbed wire to my nuts than listen to WTC.

Planetary Duality is a damn good album I never really liked deathcore due to how garbage most of it is, I only like a few deathcore songs.

youtube.com/watch?v=jwbj2gzzTpk

Yeah I mispelled that, but yeah the band is garbage I'm kinda glad the scene kids aren't really into metal anymore like they were in the late 00's/early 10's (at least not in my area).

BDM is a guilty pleasure of mine.

hey solo Bruce is actually pretty good
youtube.com/watch?v=vXClBjNxiOA
youtube.com/watch?v=bXPEBFKWp3M
youtube.com/watch?v=1Qf9bT4nVPE

I need to hear one of his solo albums someday, do you guys happen to know which is the best one?

Thoughts on this list?

teamrock.com/feature/2017-12-15/metal-hammers-100-best-albums-of-the-year-2017

Post incomprehensible albums.

Prog death or death metal in general?

Today Summonings new album was released. Have you listened to it yet? What did you think?

see (I mean the lyrics)

What are your favorite bands that flirt heavily with far right/fascist aesthetic?

Revenge

I've listen to Into the Infernal Regions of the Ancient Cult and Ominous Doctrines of the Perpetual Mystical Macrocosm. What next? and why is Inquisition so good?

WHERE NEXT TO CONQUER

the peakest peak

MA is way overrated
Also, contributan with quality death metal

FORCED INTO YOUR MIND, PASSED DOWN THROUGH THE CENTURIES
CULTURES WILL COLLIDE, HOLY WARS FOR WHAT
HOLY BOOK OF GOD, HOLY BOOK OF LIES

ahem

can we add a folk/death part?

>no my dying bride under death doom

shit

Boring as fuck

>my dying bride
>death/doom

I misread this as "my dying dude"
memes really got to my head I guess

>have a laptop
>good machine, but sometimes fans kick in hard during browsing with noise so I try to avoid it
>tfw every time an album intro has wind in it

good shit
listen to it

next should be nefarious dismal orations or invoking the majestic throne of satan. imo neither of those are better than macrocosm though.

so good because dagon is a riff factory

>ma is overrated
>posts obituary

I stopped going to Sup Forums after NBBMN because of finals and was sick of the memes in here, so what are the hip memes in the last month or so in /meal/

Also r8 my NBBMN

Albums similar to this? Crossover Thrash recs in general too famalam

Obituary put on a fucking great live show. I usually don't listen to much of their music, mostly because it's very low-brow meat and potatoes DM. But fuck if their riffs don't sound fucking fantastic 15 feet away from them.

This is the filthiest album ever recorded.

I applaud your effort in providing this generals with discussions to rival shitposting, but could you please stop using that picture and instead put a better /meal/ related maymay?

What are you listening to rn?

Mighty Ride Of The Firelord

youtube.com/watch?v=Wdia06zB1CQ

the finest Agalloch-core ever made

and it's still shit

no u

nuh uh

fuck

>Agalloch-core
why would you listen to this?

I like Agalloch

>when even Jimmy Nu-male isnt as big of a nu-male to do the soy scream face

check the last few threads

Honestly my most anticipated album of the year

youtube.com/watch?v=N7i7UWw_6Rc

M.O.D, Cryptic Slaughter, D.R.I, Suicidal Tendencies, Ratos De Poro, Nadimac, Accüsed etc.

>Experimental
>it's shit
What a surprise

youtu.be/0mV64Ox_7ek
