Warkino by maestro Nolan

>HOME

What did he mean by this?

boring

why those messerschmitts make sounds like ju 87? What a hack.

Seriously, is it me, or was the """""acting""""" all atrocious? Like, I swear I've seen better in a b-movie horror films

Dunkirk shaped our world? At least make it about El-Alamein

Why is this country so shit at everything?

You mispelt "great"

>there will never be an Eastern Front movie with this budget

that was the real war

Where does film fit in the CIA cinematic universe?

crashing this expeditionary force

Plebs will see Nolan's name and hype this into the stratosphere even though it looks meh.

It looks so boring

hacksaw ridge is true war kino, this not so much

Faggots on Sup Forums will see Nolan's name and disqualify it because they're autistic hipsters

>tfw everyone flocks to some other guy's thread because he used a title

>Hacksaw Ridge trailer came out
>everyone mocked grenade kick scene and pronounced movie DOA
how soon we forget

>Inbreeding
>Shit weather
>Shit land
>Shit government
>Shit history
>Shit architecture
>Shit migrants
>Shit people

They will disqualify it because Nolan is a hack. All his movies are extremely overrated tripe dressed up in a desaturated color palette to give them a false semblance of seriousness and depth.

Simply....
...Epic.

Why did that one soldier just go into the sea water to commit sudoko? Was he depressed? Nolan is talking about us. Well done, Nolan.
Bra-fucking-Vo!

>>Shit government
Name a country that doesn't have a shit government.

North Korea

Why doesn't the average American know about Dunkirk?

Don't forget that he uses explosions and paper-thin exposition to replace character development. And that he name-drops ""deep"" concepts so that the reddit crowd can pretend they're watching something with more depth than the average Bay-flick

KINO

>"If we go there, we'll die"
What did he mean by this?

It's an alternate universe
He's cross-universe answering the question "If I pull that off, will you die?"
Here, "pull that off" refers to pulling off the greatest tactical retreat in history
It's very complex and deep

Hopefully this is kino too, Hacksaw Ridge left me with the taste for more. Plus there's no fantasy element for Nolan to fuck up with plot holes. Expecting the dialogue to be garbage though.

Hacksaw Ridge was more generic religious metaphor and violence from Mel Gibson. The movie is barely about the island, the conflict, or anything, so calling it war kino, or Hacksaw Ridge for that matter, is a misnomer. It's a movie about a gimmick. A soldier who goes into battle without a rifle, and along the way hits every familiar trope that a typical war movie has. The supporting characters were one-dimensional and meaningless, while the main character had no personal conflict or depth. His entire character is "Ima save people. Im not gonna shot them" and then he spends an hour doing just that.

Apocalypse Now is war kino.
Braveheart is war kino.
Heartbreak Ridge is war kino.
Hacksaw Ridge was a hack job.

What the fuck is he even trying to say?

He's saying that his movies have plot holes and that some people spot them, but most people don't.

Not enough diversity or women to show who really died at Dunkirk. For shame, Nolan.

Critics are apparently too stupid to see the actual plotholes in his films. It's a visionary quote

>trying to say

He is saying, in very understandable terms, that most people are idiots who think they've found a plot hole when they actually haven't. For example, the term plot hole is almost never used correctly on this board of alt right morons.

A movie with a full white male cast?

What an absolute MADMAN

Nolan kinda looks like bill murray

Except he says it by admitting that his films are full of plot holes that people aren't smart enough to spot
