Really hope wheeler doesnt shit the bed today
Eli Collins
Off to a great start.
Jaxon Wood
I don't care about performance anymore Just stay healthy Wheeler ceiling feels like #3 starter at this point, maybe #4, which would be fine if he could just stay healthy
Jack Cooper
crap i think we made thread at same time, i'll delete mine if i can.
Eli Phillips
Fuck it, wheels off
Lucas Diaz
>At the game >No bobble head >someone was in my seat >Mets down 2-0 already
Wonderful
Henry Carter
it wont let me del the other thread, let's just set up camp here. oh well.
Parker Thomas
no bobblehead!??! fuck that! they ran out already?
Jackson Evans
only the first 15,000 fans apparently. i would have gone but there was no way i was going to get there in time to get one with my work schedule
>wheeler
Eli Green
He's so up and down now. He probably a . But this is his first season coming off TJ surgery. I'd wait to see if he can work out the kinks.
Gavin Thomas
yea, good prize days get ppl there early to get the goodies, but damn, the game just started, that's crazy. it is a weekend though, it makes sense. people were probably there mega early just to get it.
Easton Wright
It has been 30 days since Yoenis Cespedes hit a homerun.
Anthony Brooks
Yeah. This stadium is packed despite the empty seats you see on TV.
The could of bumped to at least 20K. This is something everyone in the stadium wants.
I get a little angry seeing someone with like 3 or 4 in their hands
4-0 now. This is going great.
Luis Nguyen
>first inning and the game is already over
wew
Gavin Ward
welp, try to find someone who has a bunch and offer to buy one on the cheap. they're just going to dump them on ebay and craigslist anyway if they're hoarding them like that.
Leo Cook
Yeah but 1 day since Ces said he wanted to end his career in Oakland
Joseph Williams
how's the weather looking? rainout might be our only chance tonight
Nathan Ramirez
Its overcast. There were some drops before first pitch but it's fine now.
Ryder Wilson
weather is in fact looking bad. we're about to get hit, supposed to rain until midnight or so, will start heavy around 8 pm.
for some reason half of the radar is missing, accuweather is fucking up. but there is a system coming, i dunno if it will be bad enough to trash the game though.
Leo Williams
wait, it loaded. here's all the missing shit. it's messy.
Cooper Garcia
what kinda seats do ya have? any common foul ball territory? might walk away with a game ball if not a bobblehead.
Thomas Jackson
>Yo hits a ball deep >crowd perks up >it's caught >crowd dies
Kayden Lee
but it's okay, REAL power hitters like paul dejong are hitting home runs so baseball is fine!
Liam Williams
>walking a career 0-2 pitcher
Colton Nguyen
wheeler is literally afraid to throw strikes nowadays. it's fucked up
Isaiah Walker
Always go with the cheapest seats. Feels slightly better when games like these happen and I didn't drop over $100.
If I'm off during the Ces bobblehead game I get cheap seats directly behind home.
Aaron Stewart
shades of 06 Reyes
Carson Perry
Jesus this is getting sad. Thank God for the drunks.
Blake Martinez
yea, thats cool. i go cheapie seats too usually unless it's like a date type thing.
just made some nathans dogs, woo hoo.
Jayden Gonzalez
keith and gary talkin bout how the place was already packed at 5 pm, lining up just for the bobblehead. wow.
Christian Howard
>80 at bats without a HR for Cespedes
Liam Miller
>wheeler 8 starts without a win
wew
Anthony Gutierrez
Its funny browsing forums, especially SNY and seeing posters turn on him.
Lincoln Gonzalez
I usually get the cheapest tickets and just stand behind the seats on the lowest level along one of the lines
Hunter Lee
What do you guys think of trading for Jonathan Schoop in the offseason
Chase Cruz
i don't think we need any more power hitters who strike out a ton. only orioles i want a piece of are machado and their bullepn
Tyler Butler
peter alonso
Grayson Ortiz
The Donger Man
David Russell
he's no Tim Tebow
Joshua Morales
TELL ME ABOUT ALONSO. WHY DOES HE WEAR THE MASK
Lucas Sanders
81 homerless at bats for Yo
Ethan Ross
Mets should: Trade both Reed and Blevins as a package Hold Bruce for the qualifying offer draft pick which will be worth more than what we'd get in a trade Trade assdribble for a non-elite prospect and call up amed
Ryder Bailey
I've been considering the idea of sending both Blevins and Reed to the Dodgers. A package like that could really net some good talent
Also I think they changed the QO pick rules so that we would get a lower pick for Bruce. Might be better to trade him
Bentley Morris
shit, why is smoker back. i wasn't in the room, wtf.
Caleb Martin
>tfw NL MVP for a contending team
Daniel Russell
I still think a draft pick in the 70s is better than what we'd get for Bruce unless he was part of the Reed trade.
Brody Davis
BBRUCE
Kevin Smith
Don't tell me no one wants Bruce
Sebastian Smith
...
Joshua Jones
I know the JD Martinez trade made it seem like the market is shit for rental bats, but I honestly think that the Tigers GM is just terrible. Bruce should be able to net some prospects with upside if he keeps playing this well before the deadline.
Charles Butler
>grandy
:^|
Lucas Williams
...
Lincoln Turner
Tigers traded way to early
We comeback now
Kevin Cruz
...
Angel Miller
challenge that shit!
Michael Johnson
Mets should sell all their players and use the proceeds to pay off the Madoff victims.
Nolan Adams
So the Wilpons should pay themselves?
William Gutierrez
Trade Duda Grandy Assdribble Reed Blevins Bruce
All for prospects.Sandy cloud probably fleece some GMs. Also, Bruce would probably come back in the off season. He seems like he enjoys it here.
Adrian Carter
>dropping 4 in an inning I thought this was Mets v. Athletics not Mest v. Mest
Joshua Collins
Grandy has 0 value. Agree with everyone else though
Joshua Butler
Grandy isn't valuable so the Mets might as well keep him, he does well enough right now. Also keep Blevins so a bullpen exists. Besides that its good. Bruce will probably come back anyway because he is a sweetheart.
Colton Bennett
No one has any real trade value except Reed. Duda a little bit if the Yanks or Mariners still want a 1B.
The tigers got nothing for J.D. Martinez and he's a substantially better hitter than Bruce. Literally no one would want Assdribble he's playing below replacement level.
Jack Lopez
>Blevins and Bruce have no value very bad post
Landon Hernandez
Late game heroics yesterday aside, Blevins is mostly just a lefty specialist. Even if there's a team that's looking for that they won't give up much to get him. We're most likely keeping him and extending him or shipping him in a larger deal centered on Reed.
Bruce has literally zero value. You haven't been paying attention if you think otherwise.
Bentley Ward
Bruce has value to the Indians as one of their outfielders literally has a .566 OPS and the other 3 are inconsistent and really average at best. We can probably get 1 good prospect out of it using Bruce as a mercanary.
William Williams
So you're telling me a lefty specialist of Blevins' caliber has no value? His skillset is highly valued for some teams in the market who will miss out on guys like Justin Wilson. >Bruce has literally zero value. Complete bullshit. Just because the Tiggers made a shit trade doesn't mean Sandy can't find a fit for someone with 25 home runs.
Carson Lewis
Blevins has as much value as Reed, if not more.
Joseph Morales
They would've made the trade with the Tigers if they needed one, the Dbacks gave up nothing, they could've easily matched that. In any case they would offer less than what dbacks offered tigers, because bruce is a substantially worse player than JD
Blevins has minimal value, no team will dish out prospects for someone to get out lefties, especially not when Reed is available on the same team. . The tigers didn't "make a shit trade." It's 2017, no one's getting ripped off anymore, everyone knows exactly how much players are worth
You are very ignorant, sorry. Blevins is a decent lefty specialist and Reed is a top 5 reliever by any metric.
Ryder Morris
That trade was the Tiggers being absolutely retarded, I find it hard to believe there weren't utlerior motives because they traded to a team with one of the worst farm systems and couldn't even get the top prospect for a fantastic player.
Aiden Barnes
>no team will dish out prospects for someone to get out lefties, especially not when Reed is available on the same team. You understand that not every team can get Reed, right? If someone trades for Reed other teams will call about Blevins. >It's 2017, no one's getting ripped off anymore, everyone knows exactly how much players are worth Kek, not Al Avila
Julian Cruz
Reed is an actual quality reliever. Blevins is a specialist.
Alexander Flores
>TDA getting the double after the DP
Goddammit
Christopher Baker
I see the Mets are playing "how many balls can we hit to the fence that aren't home runs"
Elijah Barnes
>That trade was the Tiggers being absolutely retarded
No it wasn't, maybe there were ulterior motives but the fact is that there is low demand for corners and high supply. Other user mentioned indians as a possible bruce destination, but they will be able to point to that trade as a reference for what they give up when talking to sandy. It was reported sandy is willing to eat salary but I doubt that will help so much.
But they won't offer very much, maybe a fringe prospect, because that's all Blevins is really. More versatile relievers are far more valuable, especially in playoff situations. Sandy would be wise I think to hold Blevins and extend him for next year.
Unless the FO can orchestrate some big trade involving Reed + others going to one team, don't expect more than maybe one top 100 prospect this deadline. Bruce might not even get traded, it might be better to keep him so we can offer the QO.
Ryder Lewis
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Robert Perry
DAT COMEBACK
Joseph Moore
I do think Blevins and Reed would best be packaged together for a team in need of relief help. I'd love to keep Bruce, but he seems to want to be traded, so I'm not sure what to think there.
BASED duder
James Hernandez
Are you not aware that Blevins isn't a rental?
Evan Williams
That doesn't magically change the fact that competing teams will give $0.13 and a mediocre blowjob for Blevins.
Colton Nguyen
>robles
William Parker
you are now aware that Robles is tied for the second most wins on the Mets
Cameron Rodriguez
I like Bruce but we don't really need him, if there's one position we have covered it's corners. He's in the middle of his best offensive year in years, no reason to overpay for a streaky hitter in a position we have covered.
That doesn't really help that much. Blevins doesn't add that much value to a bullpen being a loogy
Andrew Brown
I feel like he isn't that bad for some odd reason. Like I can't remember him blowing it since May, I might just be a shitbrain though
Nathaniel Fisher
its legit because of piggybacking off other's work. he's always been shit man. he rides coattails and his numbers go up.
Jason Fisher
Depends on how much you trust Lagares in center really. I'm willing to move Bruce if we get a good offer, but if it's like what Martinez got, we'd be better off letting him walk in FA and putting our money towards an impact starter like Darvish.
Adrian Bell
he hasn't been around cause we sent his ass back down to AAA for non stop blowing leads, only to be recovered by blevins and reed. you don't remember him fucking up because he's not been here.
Joseph Rogers
Would there be much downside to trading Cecchini? He can't play shortstop and while he's under team control a bit longer than the utility infielders on the 25-man roster, I'm not convinced he's a better hitter than TJ or Flores. Ideally teams see the offensive upside and that he's still got rookie status and don't feel bad about giving up their own prospects in return
John Long
I don't think that is how it works my man
Cooper Scott
>How much you trust Lagares Literally not at all. Can't hit for shit and he's made of glass. Le gold glove man is a literal overpayed meme.
Easton Russell
This is setting up for the Cespedes walk off home run to end the drought Dubs and it's gonna happen checkem
Joshua Brown
>That doesn't really help that much. Blevins doesn't add that much value to a bullpen being a loogy
Maybe you're right we'll have to see what Sandy can do, probably won't trade him anyway though
John Campbell
No one wants Cecchini Then keeping Bruce is kind of important, no? The production out of the outfield takes a massive dip if we replace Bruce's bat with Lagares's.
Julian Cook
He's the odd man out in a loaded infield. If someone wants him then fine.
Blake Barnes
Justin Dunn struck out eleven tonight
Alexander Roberts

BASED CRYING MAN
Lucas Cruz
I wasn't that guy, I was just offering my two cents. As for memes, le crying man is a good meme. We should keep him.
