...with another emo half-EP? Less Than was bretty good though.

too bad Robin doesn't play real guitars on Slip tracks anymore. both 1,000,000 and Letting You sounded neutered on the 2013-14 tours

Less Than is easily the worst track out of the two EPs you pleb.
WITH IT

>Not Anymore and The Idea of You exist
>calls Less Than the worst

>Implying that those tracks are bad at all
>Specifically The Idea Of You

YOUU WHAT'YA LOOKIN' AAAT

>The Idea Of You
you mean the most uninspired NIN song since Everything?

Everything, uninspired? You mean track that is so uninspired it is one of the most unique tracks out of NIN discography?

I thought basically all of Hesitation Marks was gold so I guess I don't have a dog in this fight...

And yeah, I'm not saying I had my pants knocked off by Less Than, but the two EPs mostly seemed like he wanted to push some political shit out before a tour instead of sitting down and writing something start-to-finish.

>political shit
Nigga, these EPs are not political in the slightest, what the fuck are you talking about. Only shit that seems political, is Less Than, the rest? Literally (and I am using that word correctly) on Not The Actual Events and rest of Add Violence is political.

I meant to use "nothing on.." somehow the word "nothing" got lost, thanks dyslexia, ayy.

Not Anymore is the most uninspired one since

Everything was both a rip-off of She Sells Sanctuary and Friday I'm In Love with terrible delivery by Trent and weak-ass programmed drum to make sure the music didn't sound good either.

the most uninspired by the numbera HM track is I Would For You though, it's like a Nickleback-style remake of EDIETS

I Would For You is awesome, I'm gonna fucking fight you.
The most unnispired track from NIN discography is Starfuckers and Deep

The Slip is NIN's best album.

I probably was conflating it with Year Zero since I figured he'd do criticism for Trump as he did with Bush. But now that I think about it the recent stuff wasn't that political.

Year Zero didn't have Bush oriented song either, Capital G is criticism of a person in power whom is greedy, the G stands for greed, not George.

Most NIN songs are not political, Year Zero being an exception, other than that, Hesitation Marks and the EPs are not political, thank fuck for that.

Trent is smarter than to go shit crazy over politics like Roger Waters would

Starfuckers was allegedly a passive-aggressive dig at MM, and Deep was for Lara Croft. That being said I don't mind either.

NIN just seems like one of those bands that have some bangers and the rest are not necessarily fillers but shit that is suppose to make you think or feel something, like 999,999. Sure some albums are not as strong to me as others but they generally all have an artistic purpose Trent is conveying.

>She Sells Sanctuary and Friday I'm In Love
forgot Just Like Heaven, he threw that riff in for good measure

you're free to enjoy it, and I'm happy you do, that doesn't make it not derivative. never liked Starfuckers, but I love Deep

THFT and Letting You are about Bush.
Disappointed is about Obama, Less Than is Trump

Year Zero is a nice sci-fi tale some people took way too seriously back in the day.

Letting You is not about Bush, it's about the killings of soldiers being justified.. it isn't Bush.

Agree on Year Zero.

Less Than could be or doesn't have to be about Bush, it could fit in with rest of the EP's idea of being stuck in a machine, the lyrics seem to reference Dear World.

The opening bit is cool. The verses and chorus reek of a Year Zero throw away though.

It sounds nothing like Year Zero, I think it is awesome agressive track.

t. never heard anything off YZ beyond tracks 1 and 2

what is even wrong with year zero

It's one of NIN's best albums

not hard enough for old fans, not buttrock enough for the With Teeth crowd and upon release and it was overshadowed by the marketing gimmick.

nowadays it gets the praise it always deserved.

I thought Year Zero was pretty "hard", but in a different way, Trent's vocals are agressive and a lot of tracks have noise and certain chaos to them.

Year Zero is underrated as fuck. It has nothing to envy from TDS or Fragile. Seriously a masterpiece that gets overshadowed by stupid "fans" who wanted a derailed and drug addicted trent or another with teeth.
That said the last 3/4 with teeth tracks were some of the best shit trent ever wrote

It's his best album

With Teeth has some pretty alright tracks, but they get snowed under by the truckload of buttrock

I GOT MY ARMS FLIP FLOP FLIP FLOP FLIP

flip flop flip flop at least has a fun punkish-grunge vibe to it, I'll take it over most of the poprock shit from the first half

Only thing that really comes to mind is The Hand That Feeds

Bleedtrough Tier
All the love in the world
Love is not enough
Everyday is exactly the same
The line begins to blur
Beside You in time
Right where it belongs
Home

With teeth tier
You know what you are
Only

Foo fighters tier
The rest

You Know What You Are and Only totally can qualify for Bleedthrough tier

Year Zero and The Slip are the patrician choices

Bump for the tront
New ep when?

The Slip while good is not his best work.

EDIETS is Foo Fighters-tier
Getting Smaller and title track are easily With Teeth-tier
