Shit marketing

Yeah, what this guy said.

Truthfully, it wasted its villain.

His backstory was fascinating but they barely explored it.

Because normies can't into scifi franchises and the nerds that can are eager to forget these movies anyway.

>Riding a motorcycle in space
ridiculous

It was a really shit movie with a few decent moments in there.

lack of budget

They never rode a motorcycle in space, idiot.

Why was there a fucking motorcycle on the bridge of a starship?

I walked out of the theater after they destroyed the alien fleet by playing Sabotage

>looked it up
>mfw you're not lying
What the fuck were they thinking? This isn't memes of the galaxy.

>youtu.be/AmWLaFQNwVE

but it has the beats and shouting

Literally the best scene of 2016

It made $350 million. Not terrible. But it should have easily made $400-$500 million. It was a very solid and entertaining film.

The marketing wasn't good. Also, they should have moved up the release date.

Looking forward to the next one with Thor.

>"Is that classical music?"
>"Yes, doctor, it would seem to be."
Good god

I thought it was fucking terrible. Warcraft tier

Funny thing is that in TOS, they could have swiped the whole swarm from the sky with proximity phasers

>tfw you aren't even a Trek nerd and you know more about it than the writers

The sad thing is, the portions of the movie where they were just dicking around on the planet trying to survive and learning about its people and past was actually really comfy and enjoyable. But of course it only lasted 20 minutes, because the cookie cutter space battles and plot twists had to be shoehorned in.

Normies won't watch infinite sci-fi sequels and the movies weren't for Trekkies either.

Yeah, that was eye-rollingly bad. I felt embarrassed to be watching it at that point.

The rest of the movie was pretty good though.
