Economyfag here

(TL;DR section of my rant about the economy scare tactics, look below to find my comments on pic related.)

The ENTIRE Remain campaign's argument for "economic losses and fleeing wealth" is based almost entirely on the strength of the pound.

Their projections about "every household being £4000 worse off" is completely based on THEIR SPECULATION of a sterling drop.

This number is simply "if the pound forex market dropped X percent, resulting is £X

By that logic, if the FTSE dropped by 20% every household in the country would lose > £50,000 a year. Meaning most people then magically owe, in some cases, several times their household income. It's fairytale economics. They are relying on the ignorance of the common people to not understand the terms and numbers being thrown around, and to scare them into thinking that if we leave, they will LOSE £4000 a year. Think about how scary that sounds to someone on £12k a year trying to feed their family. They don't know any better, they think they are personally going to lose that money. This is the fear they are preying on.

They are basing their economic figures on forex speculation, and we all know how accurate that is. Don't listen to the fear campaign, as EVEN IF it does happen, will hardly equate to actual economic losses for households.

(END of TL:DR section)

Related image shows sterling vs several leading currencies. This is to give you perspective on the claims the Remain campaign are spewing.

Marked in green is the drop resulting from November's industry stats which showed industry slowing in the UK. As you can see, this is by far the largest drop among any of the exchange rates.

Purple marks the period of the Referendum campaign. As you can see, the market is, on average, flat, with large drops and rises here and there.

The claims that Brexit will lead to a crash in the pound are unfounded. Sure, it would result in an initial market shock, but no substantive "flight of wealth."

I hope Britain still has some balls left it would be sad if this was the end, the commonwealth still has some fight left in it.

I kill myself.

>>actually starting to believe institutions are run by globalists
>thought it was a meme
Why do people do this? There are no memes, lad, it's all true.

>This number is simply "if the pound forex market dropped X percent, resulting is £X

I didn't finish this and forgot about it, adding my TL:DR section

What this is meant to say is "This number is simply "if the pound forex market dropped X percent, resulting is £Y lost from STERLING FOREX, this number, divided by Z number of households in the country, would equal the loss per household."

The GPD of britain is £2 trillion. The market value of FTSE, sterling, and other British-linket markets is well over £10 trn.

Income per household in the UK =/= value of the country's trade/business

There are 26 Million households in the UK. The average UK wage is £18k. That would equal £468 Billion of total household income. This is nothing compared to the GDP of England, let alone the combined values of global markets such as Sterling or the FTSE.

Equating household loss to sterling loss is absolutely fucking disingenuous and should actually be a criminal attempt at misleading the public.

Remain likes to say Leave tries to fudge figures, but this is a whole other level.

Vote Leave

...

He thought Britain would die a slow death but I think he's seeing a glimmer of hope for the future

SECOND FOR DANGEROUS FANTASY

>REMINDER FOR THE 24TH
Counts will get under way when polls close at 22:00 GMT Thursday, 23 June at 382 local centres around the UK. These local results will be declared as the counts are completed before being collated at 12 regional centres, which will also declare the totals for each side. There will be a rolling total so the time at which one side reaches the point of being mathematically unbeatable depends on how quickly the vote are counted and how close the results are running. It is a safe bet that from 4am onwards there should be pretty clear picture of which way the vote is going. A chief counting officer will announce the overall result at Manchester Town Hall.

true, but it's over an hour long. You're not wrong about their attention span.

How does this make you feel?

Why weren't they chanting "we're british"? "We're england and Wales" means fucking nothing, they may aswell have been chanting "we're Finland and france

If anything there will be a flight of wealth TO the UK as people begin to realize mainland Europe is completely fucked

But that doesn't mean anything, it doesn't convey unity, it's just factually correct. If they were chanting they were British it would be a show of unity.

NEVER BE SLAVES

I get to spend a day of gleeful joy as the embers of hope are lit

Like we slayed a beast and saved a princess

Fascism has an amazing propensity for grwoth in Britain. We're all socialist, we're all nationalist, it's the perfect combination. Where as America is very nationalist but not socialist and Sweden is very socialist but not nationalist.

>Juncker himself is going to the UK

I'm sure that'll go over well, some Belgian cunt nobody knows trying to tell people how to vote and threatening them if they don't listen.

also, the problem with films like Brexit is that they are attacking the EU itself. It's not the EU that gets to vote in the referendum.

If you want to have a real impact, you need to go after the Remain voters. You have to knock them off the moral high-ground. They've been extremely effective in stigmatising everyone who disagrees with them as racists and bigoted nationalists.

It isn't enough to educate them. Knowledge isn't the problem, it's knocking through that shell of smug self righteousness and showing to them that a lot of their motives aren't as noble as they pretend.

We don't need to turn them into Leave voters, we just need to shame them enough that they can't bring themselves to turn out on polling day.

hence,
youtube.com/watch?v=4UZSZJeeJGk

hopefully someone can do better than that.

>It's fairytale economics. They are relying on the ignorance of the common people to not understand the terms and numbers being thrown around

As an econfag you should be aware that the vast majority of modern econ is this exact dynamic and imports unneeded math intentioally to justify itself as a kind of court astrologer position which dispenses esoteric wisdom

Also I've heard Soros and others are selling shitloads of GBP right now in order to help create that impression

He's gonna try and scare the shit out of us and tell us about how we're doomed if we leave

It's not gonna work

I identify as an ethnic Briton, not "British" with the multicultural connotations you're implying.

My point is chanting "we're england and wales" doesn't convey unity, but chanting "we're british" does.

Get the flag add on you stupid cucks.

Nice quads and if his speech is anything below Goebbels tier, it is the most disastrous thing he could ever do.

At this point, he'd have to start basically bribing voters, and we all know he's too much of a conniving greedy snake to ever do that.

>those days were over 2 years ago

Feels good that we're about to win the Referendum honestly, how far things have come.

FANTASTIC

At least things are looking slightly up recently

Someone pls tell me how this is not illegal

Even if we do stay, this has served a much more important purpose.

It is now socially acceptable to be against lefties, immigration and globalised politik.

All Brexit really does is decide if we want to watch the EU zone crumble into civil war from the sidelines, or be a part of it ourselves.

Good lad.

Checked!

The little that people DO know about him is of deception and lies. The guy is going to help Leave so, so much.

Ah, okay. Well they're there to support England and Wales, is almost certainly the reason.

good shit

post them for the next few threads, let it become common knowledge for the rest of us

Should try to educate people on the man beforehand

good lad

I hope he gets egged.

We don't need to erase our identities to be united. I'm a Scot and I'm happy in the United Kingdom - but that doesn't mean I want to be called a "Briton".

The EU make the law.

The self-loathing is fascinating

In what world would an American be ashamed of the term American?

This union is doomed unless we're British

OP is genius and the media are idiots.
1. Get 40s/50s "light music" and BBC "home service" themes
2. Cheap glitching and dub
3. V/o from grey 60s/70s politicians (think Heath and Wilson, no Churchill or "rivers of blood)
4. Mass produce
5. Inform idiot media that "Brexitwave" is a thing
6. Profit.

Frodo : I can't do this, Sam. Vote Leave...

Sam : I know.
It's all wrong
By rights we shouldn't even be in the EU.
But we are.
It's like in the great stories Mr. Frodo.
The ones that really mattered.
Full of darkness and danger they were,
and sometimes you didn't want to know the end.
Because how could the end be happy.
How could Britain go back to the way it was when so much bad happened.
But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow.
Even darkness must pass.
A new day will come.
And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer.
Those were the stories that stayed with you.
That meant something.
Even if you were too small to understand why.
But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand.
I know now.
Folk in those Leave voters had lots of chances of turning back only they didn’t.
Because they were holding on to something.

Frodo : What are we holding on to, Sam?

Sam : That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it’s worth fighting for.

Fuck off shills We're England and Wales!

REMINDER THAT GOVE IS ON WITH THE DIMBLES LATER TODAY: bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07gsgrw

The first thing I ask myself when looking at an issue is "how does this affect me?"

Well I, and a lot of people I know, buy every single videogame, dvd, bluray, whatever from amazon.uk. Because believe it or not even with the shipping costs it's still cheaper than buying them here.

Once you guys leave the EU I will have to switch for amazon.de (because then I will have to pay import taxes from the uk) and that sucks cause the english version of the german amazon is still in beta.

So vote stay. K? Thanks!

Guys, I am fucking terrified.
Be honest you meme loving fucks, can we do this? Can we really fucking win?
Yes I know the polls are in our favour but I still don't see it happening.
Nothing good ever happens.
EVER.
Only shit happens, and that's why I think our dreams are going to be fucking crushed.
