So, exactly how will the Las Vegas Raiders work? I thought Vegas was too hot to have any major sports teams? How the hell can you train a team in that den of sin?

They're the perfect team for Vegas though. Outlaw image fits the city.

It's sin city so it doesn't matter if players party all of the time.

>weather
What is dome?

The Arizona Cardinals seem to do fine given the fact that they also play in the desert. Raiders will play in a dome tho

It's the NFL, it just doesn't matter. Players are going to do drugs/DUI/lose their money anyway.

vegas resident here
yeah it is hot during the summer
football starts exactly when vegas begins to cool down and hover around the mid 90s to mid 80s then go down to the high and mid 70s around late sept.

the stadium being built is a closed glass stadium very similar to US bank in minnesota(contractors that did that stadium are doing the vegas one as well)

they said it won't have a retractable roof but who knows they may change that

and like mentioned
phoenix and glendale can get hotter than vegas on some days(and a hell of a lot colder) and vice versa. If they can pull it off vegas can as well

tldr vegas is a A/C city don't worry about it

Are you excited to get a franchise? Is there major support for them in the city already?

I've lived in vegas for 17 years , my family has moved around a lot but mainly are from california(long beach) with some still back in michigan(grand rapids and holland).

personally I've always been a raider fan since their LA days so moving here and in LA wouldn't have mattered to me.

It was extremely tough to find a job in vegas even as a US citizen from 2011-2013 so much so I had to move back to michigan to work and support my family. The city has changed since then immensely and a lot of people football fans or not are happy we are getting a stadium because it just means more work. Now actual football fans are happy because they'll get to see their team here when they arrive

Vegas for as long as I can remember already had a huge raider fanbase probably the biggest fanbase here with broncos and cowboy fans following . It has grew immensely over the years and now casinos are starting to sell raider merch to further boost their popularity to tourist .

so in short yes there is massive support some economical but for many legitimate excitement that this city finally has a football team.

another vegasfag. work on the strip. im happy to see this city grow and I know this stadium will give the local economy the boost it needs. these last 5 years have been kind of a plateau for the strip but with the stadium plus the legalized weed things are looking up.

>work on the strip
Which corner?

That practice field tho

there's this thing called a climate controlled dome Hans. It will be 72 at kickoff.

Dougie?

They play in the fall/winter, so it's not that hellishly hot

why are so many teams moving to Vegas/LA?

...

Vegas is a brand name that brings in a lot of money

weather wasnt a factor

and since everyone should now know everything is rigged
they dont care anymore
so
Raiders

>tfw that horrid locust season that occurs every decade or so happens during a multiple home game stretch

shit is biblical apocolypse type horror

it matches his soul

the heat is fine, the real question is whether the tourists will fill the seats

So where will the Raiders move to in 30 more years? Mexico? Back to Oakland? The Moon?

They will build a stadium, sell $100M in PSLs, then begin the process of building another stadium, perhaps in another city if LV isn't cooperative. That's the whole business model.
