adorno more like a-ZORN-o

Please no

t Adorno edition, expects it to be good.

Its not Adorno edition baka

Beethoven

youtube.com/watch?v=0J_H8ptY_2g

>not Adorbo edition
>Picture of Adorno

it plainly says its "return of the folders" edition

adorno more like A PORNO

Well it's Adorno edition now. Post Adorno.
youtube.com/watch?v=ewsmReP33E0

Fuck Adorno he's a fucking sperg

Berg > Dallapicolla > Schoenberg >>>>>>> Webern

Then why did you put a picture of him in the OP? : /

Vivaldi

youtube.com/watch?v=CcxrHxWW5LQ

1. I'm not that guy
2. Adorno was happy the folders came back and I thought it was cute so I took a picture

why just these 4? There are other atonal composers

>Webern
>Webm

no other serialists worth mentioning. I wouldn't even mention Webern if I didn't have to stress what a pernicious influence he was to the development of music.

I didn't. I was complaining he's in the OP

Also I should say I'm more strictly impressed with Dallapiccola than Berg but his body of work is too small compared to Berg's output;. Its definitely a close call.

> tfw no Jacqueline du Pré gf

>tfw no Christine Schäfer gf

forgot the link

youtube.com/watch?v=bLuLsFjnCjI

Adorno isn't much of a composer

> tfw no Barbara Hannigan gf

youtube.com/watch?v=KCS5uLX_ecM

>Libretto is in English

Why is this always so cringey?

She really rattled his nerves

If you were to plagiarize the work of a relateviely unknown composer for a composition contest who would you choose?
asking for a friend

that's a really retarded idea.

All libretti are cringy it is just more noticeable in English.

my computer sounds super quiet, it's not the hardware afaik since i've tried my headphones on other computers and they sound fine

what non-serial music did Adorno enjoy?

all of it. He was just a closeted poptimist.

youtube.com/watch?v=Gd2wYrOa290
What the fuck is this shit supposed to be

Beethoven and Mahler

holy fuck those parallel 5ths

please explain this to a brainlet I only got into classical music recently

the opening and several other parts consist purely of notes spaced a perfect 5th apart moving in the exact same pattern with eachother. This is why it sounds like an Atari game at the beginning. But "muh dynamics" so its okay I guess. Maybe Baroque anime poster was right.

absolutely. my big realization was that to Italians and Germans all opera sounds like this-- youtube.com/watch?v=SY_LG8JpCL8

what did the anime poster say

paralel fifths sound objectively bad

>be Webern
>get shot

Interesting.
I'd like to learn more but where could I start?
I just watched some videos but I only understood some parts
(videos: youtube.com/watch?v=i2u6Ss98lyo youtube.com/watch?v=hT8IKK-nEcI youtube.com/watch?v=0bZ5z9GXFfA youtube.com/watch?v=z0jheX8xQZ4 )
Any good Youtube channels, books, websites or whatever?

I was going to say Barber's opera A Hand of Bridge is even worse but it turns out Menotti was the librettist of that as well.

can someone recommend some good fugues not by Bach

fugues are objectively bad

one of the greatest fugues ever
youtube.com/watch?v=NDKdrQgp_q0

Well said, (((Adorno)))'s music and writings only exist as an attempt to subvert Western Civilization and White Culture

youtube.com/watch?v=oOo-_SmzGs0
youtube.com/watch?v=VAbWHkax9tc
youtube.com/watch?v=aJXdH0RHI0w

yeah, the most radical elitist who vehemently defended classical legacy and European individualism totally subverted the Western Civilization, you shallow fucking nigger

>vehemently defended classical legacy and European individualism = defending fellow cabal members like Mahler and Schoenberg
JIDF please

Froberger is great, get pic related.

youtube.com/watch?v=aC5logcaE0w

would you perhaps consider suicide? might be a viable option
this is especially piquant because Schoenberg was a full-fledged monarchist

youtube.com/watch?v=eZOClxjcSYg

this is bait, you're explicitly referencing this leftypol meme

I don't think a broader white culture exists. White American culture sure, but that's just a subset of Western culture and is almost inseperable from American culture at large

Besides phenotype, what do an Irishman and a Chechen have in common that non-white groups do not also share?

objectively wrong

underrated

youtube.com/watch?v=2l_sWX_IgtI
i don't understand this song

Subjectively depends

why are you looking up midi versions

i'm bored out of my mind so i want something interesting to look at while doing nothing

does anyone have the swarowsky version of the christmas oratorio

I only know because I have an interest in composing but any video series on counterpoint will cover parallel motion

Wrong BRAP said that weighted keys and the pedals were actually a step in the wrong direction because it allows what are essentially contrapuntal mistakes to be washed out with expressive playing.

Holy shit, I never said all that. I just think he was a pretentious firebrand asshole.

How about better than Bach?

>Mustard rice good foogs

because it presents the music on its purest terms, as a mathematical object. I want to know the exact quality of the composition before its edited by an interpreter.

>I lik dah wash pianarowl

don't brainletpost at me

you're making that impossible

This but not even bait

youtube.com/watch?v=oNrM37AYxfc

>watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes for the first time
When do Reinhardt and Kircheis fug?

i will NOT allow this bullying to continue

You're an idiot. If you wanted a purer for you would look at the score. Music is a human idea and yet you try to appreciate it by eliminating the humanity, you may as well open a jpeg of the Mona Lisa in a text editor.

>Its okay when Beethoven does it

youtube.com/watch?v=vuA08MsNT_g

I can't read music proficiently enough to really render a faithful idea of what the music actually sounds like. Also I'm 25 so I probably will never be able to at that.

I like this. What's some other stuff that sounds edgy or sad?
youtube.com/watch?v=zq-btOkUTEc

youtube.com/watch?v=Rj03hr8qfYQ

this is honestly more unpleasant than the chopin one. I mean the second voice enters on a dissonance. What the fuck was Mozzy thinking?

Mozart's compositions are minor keys are notorious for their dissonance; AFAIK almost all of them can be associated to a traumatic experience in his life.

oh well if he was depressed then that changes everything. Best fugue Ive ever heard. The struggle is real guys

What I mean to say is that the dissonance is purposeful; that all of them resolve by the end. In some ways the increased dissonance adds to their resolutions.

>I'm 25 so I never will be able to
Your right if you dont take the time asshole

What's that Liszt piece that sounds pretty much like Philip Glass?

anyone can pick up a skill. an instrument isnt different. it's not like the job market where you will be discriminated against for being old.

I'm trying to cultivate some musical abilities but I think to look at a score and have a vivid picture of multiple parts playing contrapuntally at the same time is the kind of skill you'd need to foster early in life.

Are there any good chink composers?

I started playing guitar at 11 but didn't get serious about music until 15. I didnt take theory until I was 17. I couldn't actually read music (well) until I was 19 or 20. I am 22 atm and I can do all that stuff. I can picture the stuff just fine. Its a matter of lots of exposure and taking the nessicarly steps to learn be it community college/online books/library whatever it may be

Is this the John Zorn edition?

I've done none of that and my neuroplasticity has already plateau'd. Pleased to meet you.

>are there any good chink
no

>t missed my point
Just try and you'll succeed

trips
he's clearly no a-zorn-o amirite? this shit is stinky

...

>Cute girl approaches you
>"hey user, I like you. but important question, what is your fav band/song and last show you went to?"
>"ugh... I like... classical"
>"oh. uh... ok lol"

Can someone quickly recommend a high test. recording of Le sacre du printemps?

Every single one I've listened to sounds like cuck shit. By this point I don't even listen more than a few mins, I just skip right to Augurs to gauge how heavy the conductors balls are (most are shrivelled, no surprise at their age).

No homo.

I want nothing to do with unmusical harlots.
