>My experience with watching the Star Wars franchise as an adult could be summed up during a key moment, in Return of the Jedi, that fans of the series consider a turning point in Western narrative tradition: Incredulous, I turned to a friend and commented, “I can’t believe we’re watching a puppet die.” The difference between adult and child reactions to Star Wars is central to comprehending the new installment, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. This latest “origin story” features no storytelling development but simply repeats Star Wars formulae as did last year’s The Force Awakens (and just like the indistinguishable episodes of The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter). Rogue One, a huckster’s tale, confirms the Disney Corporation’s routine indoctrination of its captive audience.
>So, while Jyn Erso fulfills the new feminist mandate, Jones’s bucktooth charm is juvenile without quite fitting the gung-ho manner required. Luna’s Cassian Endor suffers the fate of Hollywood’s usual multicultural gestures; he stands in for diversity yet hasn’t been given a personality beyond representing the now-diminished masculine principle. (As for the new robot sidekick K-2SO, I can’t believe we’re watching mechanical comic relief.) If Luke, Leia, and Han Solo were already tired pop archetypes, these types feel degraded.
I can't believe they made another star wars movie about taking down another death star., and it made billions

Jeremiah Miller
I was ready to praise this man. But he just had to shit on LOTR.
Lincoln Brown
>I can't believe we are watching mechanical comic relief Yeah because C3PO and R2 were such serious characters. The only reason K2 is shit is because it mostly spews quips instead of gettimg into weird ans funny situations like C3PO and R2.
Cameron Bailey
Is Armond White a parody?
Owen Rogers
Because You cant take her seriously like this badass action hero that can beat up 10 guys at once when she looks like a teen that needs braces.
It all goes back to casting decisions based on marketing, not what makes sense for the characters.
Brayden Cruz
because he is a contrarian hipster, just like every 4channer.
Ian Watson
>Itt triggered disneycucks.
Cant handle the truth about your 2h action figurines commercial?
Cameron Phillips
All his reviews are the same. Political gibberish, social mind states gibberish, random novels name drops. Guy is a master troll that was entertaining in a "laughing at him" type of way but now his schtick is old and tiered. He's just comes off as a tryhard moron now.
Michael Johnson
wow look at all the Sup Forums racists swarming to ridicule this black man for his honest opinions.
Jaxson Bennett
I don't think he's even a real person. He must be ghost-written by a cabal of trolling film critics.
Austin Kelly

Show me one of his reviews that doesn't include all the nonsense that I pointed out in my post. Guy is a professional troll. I'm pretty sure he is self aware of the shit he does as well and just does it to trigger people.
Jonathan Myers
I actually think all his reviews are written by some random Sup Forums retard trolling everybody. And for the profile pic they just chose some random smug black guy just to make the ruse even more clever.
Caleb Gomez

Wait, what? That's a shoop right? I can't believe the meme neckbeard got a girl.

>if i call it nonsense then it becomes nonsense
it's not political or "social mind state" gibberish. star wars was always political and had social commentary, it was george lucas' way of communicating his misinformed worldview. but his politicization of star wars pales in comparison to what disney, JJ abrams, and writers have been doing with modern star wars. it is absolutely appropriate to frame a film in its social and political context when the authors of the film are 1) explicitly telling the public the political and social reasons for the film and 2) implementing their social and political commentary in a hackneyed, heavy-handed manner.
the novels and references he uses aren't random, they're always in context, you're just an illiterate Sup Forumstard who is addicted to disney's consumerist tit.
Gabriel Peterson
>As for the new robot sidekick K-2SO, I can’t believe we’re watching mechanical comic relief was this sarcasm? he goes on about how they repeat star wars formulae, yet says this.
Zachary Rogers
He really isn't though. Most of that writing is high school level. He has a comma splice in it for God's sake.
Simmer down retard don't let the "big" words hurt your feelings.
