Oldest trophy in college football and the oldest traveling trophy in America

It leaves Ann Arbor like once every 20 years, m8.
THE GOAT TROPHY
Daily reminder that Brandon Wimbush will bootyblast his way to a Heisman trophy
Paul Bunyan's Axe is my favorite rivalry trophy out there.
Look at that thing. Badass.
Can we ban fans of all these schools from /cfb/?
>Banning Wyo
Never
I'm 100% fine with banning Riceposter though.
>banning Beavsposter
no
Riceposter is pure and greatly contributes to the discussion in these threads.

30 worst all-time winning percentage teams by conference:
AAC: 5
ACC: 2
B1G: 2
B12: 3
CUSA: 2
MAC: 4
MWC: 4
PAC12: 2
SEC: 1
SUN: 5
>Big 12
>Fewest members of all 10 conferences
>5th most perennial losers and behind a G5
Disband that shit hole already.
the AD's just don't like fun
ACC: FSU
B1G: OSU
SEC: LSU
BXII: Texas
Pac-12: USC
We all know it will go like this, what's the point in watching the season?
>OSU
>Meyer has only won the B1G once in 5 seasons.
Why is it obvious?
Source on this?
This list is missing a lot of teams. Mostly CUSA.
>Charlotte
.348
>FAU
.398
>FIU
.317
>UTEP
.408
>UTSA
.457
Michigan and Sparty are hot trash and I doubt PSU can meme out another fluke win against them. That leaves Wisconsin and they always choke in big games, I don't trust them.
>LSU
>Texas is back
Oh boy I'm laughing
>watching Bamawinslol
that was your first mistake. G5ball is way more fun.
there must be a minimum number of games played, Charlotte and UTSA have been FBS less than five years, FAU+FIU less than then.
UTEP, of course, sucks out loud.
Who do you see winning the BXII if not Texas? And I admit LSU is a bit of a stretch, but I'd go with that considering how much defensive talent Bama lost to the NFL this year.
>Bama won 4 of the last 5 SEC championships
Why do people watch that shit conference? Completely lopsided and non-competitive.
One of those seasons he went undefeated all year and couldn't play for the conference only thanks to sanctions.
>1 conference title in 5 years
>considered an all-time great coach
I'm literally laughing
No wonder they got shit on by Clemson
>ignoring the post you're replying to
Oh, so he actually has more than 1 conference title in 5 years?
Going undefeated and not playing in a conference championship game because the program is dirty doesn't magically make this untrue.

Lol it's okay friend, it can't be denied that urban is one of the best coaches around and OSU attracts some of the best talent while he is there.
He has a few foils and we do shit our own pants once in awhile but as of right now we are one of top 3 teams
Meh. Things change.
CUSA at 7 is the outlier because THREE teams weren't even playing FBS football four years ago, and FIU and FAU haven't made the best of the transition.
Factor out the newfags, they're on par with the list. Factor in which teams needed a while to stock up on conference revenue, and 2017 will be pretty fucking badass.
>program is dirty
>OSU gets a postseason ban because a guy was trading his own posessions for tattoos
>USC gets railroaded and their records erased because Reggie Bush bought a car
>Pedo State literally had their brass covering up for a boy raping scandal and got off with a comparatively joke sentence.
>UNC commits the academic fraud of the century spanning over multiple decades and multiple sports and nothing happens
NCAA sanctions are nonsensical bullshit and you know it.
FUCK CLEMSON
29 days and a wake-up until kickoff, friends.
ull has fans?
state schools best schools
>My brother from another mother.
enough for half the stadium!
Not that guy, but TCU is a clear contender. OU and UT both have first-year coaches.
Heisman
>AAC natty when?
An AAC team will make the playoff within the next 10 years, probably.
I might actually watch G5 this season to see if all the COOSA fanboys are just talking out of their asses about their conference suddenly becoming good overnight
And even if not, it's always fun to watch meme coaches like Butch Davis and Kiffin crash and burn.
People always forget, but the MW has some SHITTY teams at the bottom.
Nothing will ever happen to UNC.
They are untouchable NCAA royalty - one of the "Public Ivies."
Oklahoma State, or K-State
>watching and living vicariously through kids throwing balls around at a school you probably don't even attend
Even without Stoops, OU is still the favorite in the Big 12. They recruit on another level than the rest of the conference has recently plus they return a good QB and the whole offensive line. I'd give Oklahoma State and Kansas State, in that order, better odds of winning the Big 12 this season than Texas. I might even put TCU above Texas in 2017. Herman was a great hire but he isn't turning Texas around from 5-7 in 2016 to winning the conference in 2017. They are a QB injury away from struggling to earn bowl eligibility.
>>watching Bamawinslol
They literally just lost the championship game
>Nobody posted the GOAT yet
Can't wait to make it 4-0 against that team from Ohio at some point!

Why are 90's team clothing so much better than current team clothing?
what's a good CFB game I can watch on YouTube?
1998 Tennessee vs Arkansas
2001 Tennessee vs Florida
1991 Sugar Bowl Tennessee vs Virginia
last year's rose bowl
App State vs Tennessee 2016 was a clincher, definitely a great watch.
Navy and LA Tech had a great bowl in 2016 too.
Because comfy?
And A E S T H E T I C
The 90's aesthetic was much more at east. It wasn't trying to sell some ironic identity like every brand and design is today.
Society was still high on winning the cold war. Designs weren't afraid to be happy.
>skip holtz
Fuck him he's shit
>east

Sb nation did a whole thing on 2007 yesterday and how weird it was
What is your team's strangest season?
Logos we're also better.
>Sbnation
So did the Shutdown Fullcast podcast. 2007 was wild. WVU < Pitt changed the whole course of college football in some ways.
>my team's strangest season
Maybe 1999, just because of the destruction of Hurricane Floyd. The biggest game of the year, against #9 Miami, wasn't even played at ECU because the stadium had 12 feet of floodwater go through it.
Despite that, it was a 10 win season (with the typical "baffling mid-season loss" to UAB that ECU has patented).
>28 days and a wake-up until kickoff, friends.
>my team's strangest season
Tbh 1998. Nobody expected the Vols to win the Natty much less do it going undefeated. You think Peyton Manning would've brought a championship to Rocky Top but nope it was led by some solid players in Peerless Price, Tee Martin, Jamal Lewis (until he got injured), Al Wilson, Jeff Hall, Chad Clifton, Travis Stephens, Shawn Bryson, Travis Henry, Billy Ratliff, and whole bunch more. What team lacked in big name, Heisman-candidate stars, it made up for in raw talent.
It also gave us one of John Ward's best calls.

Michigan vs FSU last year was a good game, lots of memes
>Texas is back
>it doesn't matter who leads the Big 12, they're P5 so will get hella coverage, even if they're 7-5 and West Virginia.
I fucking hate the P5, I tell you what.
In 2007 we hired a high school coach to be our Head Coach.
Read about it on underdogdynasty.com, then have a hearty laugh at our expense. We fucking deserve it.
>wins CUSA West every year
Well, he's better than at least six other guys.
10/10 kek
Maximum coaching bubble right there.
>won 7 games in four years
That AD has since been replaced, thank fucking christ.
Who gets the NY6 this year, user?
USF
>replaced AD
I wish ECU would drop Compher's ass like John Denver. He's the worst AD in school history, yet somehow got an early extension.
As a Clemson fan, 2006
Sure it went like every Bowden season (Win when it didn't matter, lose when it did) but we lost to Boston College because of a missed extra point, then beat Florida State on the road
We were down 9-6 late 2nd quarter because of a returned blocked PAT and a returned blocked fg.
And then we beat the tar out of Georgia Tech which never happens like it should. (Calvin Johnson had 0 catches)
And then we lost to Maryland after not scoring a touchdown
And then I watch my first loss to Carolina
USF, but maybe a surprise Memphis team.
If Memphis runs the table, they have even more strength of schedule, and a win over an undefeated USF in the CCG would be the cherry on top.
>my money is still on USF though
sbnation.com
Btw they also did something on Classic Games mode
Do you have any suggestions for what a potential NCAA 18 would have?
The Clemson drive would definitely be on there
