I love christmas and the whole build-up to it, watching christmas movies and listening to christmas songs while wrapping presents and all that. But as soon as it's over I get existential dread because of New Year's Eve. Another year wasted and nothing to do on New Year's to take my mind off of it. I don't even like fireworks anymore.
Even worse when there's no snow for christmas but then it comes around new year's and sticks around until late in the new year when you don't fucking want any stupid slush and ice everywhere because you actually have to get to work and can't just get comfy inside looking out at the snowy landscape over the holidays.
