>REMINDER FOR THE 24TH Counts will get under way when polls close at 22:00 GMT Thursday, 23 June at 382 local centres around the UK. These local results will be declared as the counts are completed before being collated at 12 regional centres, which will also declare the totals for each side. There will be a rolling total so the time at which one side reaches the point of being mathematically unbeatable depends on how quickly the vote are counted and how close the results are running. It is a safe bet that from 4am onwards there should be pretty clear picture of which way the vote is going. A chief counting officer will announce the overall result at Manchester Town Hall. There will be no exit poll. vine.co/v/ilBVXpEY2Uw

Everyone is convincing themselves that Leave actually has a chance of winning. It won't. We will remain in the Union regardless of what the voters say.
Be honest, do you consider the possibility of Scotland leaving in the event of Brexit a risk, or a reason to vote Leave?
I think it would be good for both Scotland and for us. While it would be rather embarrassing in the short term, Scotland's departure would provide a cover for any short-term economic effects of Brexit, and when the recovery begins everyone would forget all about it
Also, with 60% of Scots [admittedly declining] identifying mostly as Scottish, on a fundamental battle of identities it would seem like the right thing to do. They are Scottish, I am English. Friends, but not the same people.
Nations deserve nation-states.

I don't think they will have the balls desu and i hear support for indy has droped even if we vote leave but we will see

Godspeed you limey bastards. I lived in the UK for a number of years before shit really started to get bad and I loved it. Might put some thought into returning if Leave goes ahead, Trudeau's Wild Ride is going to damage this country for decades to come and I need to get the fuck out before the bottom falls out.
They won't be as high as the 5, 6, 7% leads we have seen for Leave in the recent few polls.
I'm thinking Remain will be polling 2 or 3% ahead by June 23. Then it will be down to turnout, which might give an extra 1% to Leave, vs the late swing to the status quo, which might give Remain 3 or 4%, or maybe even 5%
Mason Lopez
IndyRef2 is already off the table. That is the consensus in Scotland, even in the event of Brexit. Anything else is just Salmond shit-stirring.

It doesn't matter. If Scotland doesn't leave over this, there will be something else for them to whine about the following year. Let them do what they want.

Do you think they're going to get a referendum after every major event?

>Scotland's departure would provide a cover for any short-term economic effects of Brexit Wat, I don't see the benefit of that at all.
Unfortunately for Scotland they've reached peak nationalism. So the best strategy is to ignore their demands of independence. It doesn't get much worse than it already is

I think turnout won't be more than the General election ,perhaps less .since Lots of people especially young won't bother voting . Was the same with the vote in 75 too .Turnout was less than the election before and after the vote

A recent poll puts it as 47% in favour of another one, 45% against.
Whether things change after the event waits to be seen. Perhaps Scotland will surprise us and deprive the SNP of an excuse. I think it's a possibility. Of course, if polling isn't in their favour in the early days after the event despite agitation they'll probably shelve it.
>Wat, I don't see the benefit of that at all. It leaves ambiguity over whether it was Scotland or Brexit wot did it.
>they've reached peak nationalism I doubt it. With a 60% primarily Scottish identity in the 2011 census, it's possible they could go further.
All they need is for the Greens to abstain. Of course, as they know, you can't trust the Greens.
Scotland can't leave, their planned budgets were dependant on a $100 brent crude price.
Owen Russell
