No, Brockhampton have done nothing new. Releasing a shitton of Pop Rock records cater made for critics is not doing something important. They have not moved the ball forward in any direction beyond offering something in a year overpopulated with Trap that was not Trap.
Again, no. Grimes has done nothing to differ herself from any other Synthpop act this decade besides maybe her image as the Indie Lady Gaga. Thats nothing to be proud of.

How? They're not doing anything particularly special or unique from anyone else. They're not pushing any boundaries, and their music is generally uninteresting and bland. Trust me when I say nobody will remember them in 20 years unless they come out with a masterpiece, which I doubt they will do because of how mediocre and unambitious their albums have been so far.
