Djeli Moussa Diawara - Yasimika
Mor Thiam - Dini Safarrar
Hedzoleh Soundz - Hedzoleh!
Orchestre Kanaga de Mopti - S/T
Boubacar Traore - Mariama
Idrissa Soumaoro - Le Tioko Tioko
Lijadu Sisters - Mother Africa
Lanaya - Soun Soun, La Tradition Mandigue
Lamine Konte - Afrique, Mon Afrique
Orchestre du Jardin du Guinee - Sous La Direction de Onivogui Balla

This is all from West, where I know best, but can drop some solid recs beyond it and also more in-depth/niche areas of West African music.

...

Boubacar Traore is great. West African music really is the best. Mali is where it's at.

These. I was going to suggest most of these, but I'll just post a few others.
You should check out TPOK JAZZ, they're really good.

I'll get some more later, if you like.

The amount of great Malian music for a country of its size is amazing. If you know/like Orchestre Kanaga de Mopti definitely look into the other regional 'orchestras', apparently there used to be a kind of state run battle of the bands with afro-funk orchestras back in the 60s/70s and some of the bands that partook in it are really good. Kanaga/Regional de Mopti are my favourite but 'A' National De Le Republique du Mali, Regional de Kayes, Kene-Star de Sikasso and a few others are really good (possibly du Jardin du Guinee are from a similar tradition, definitely sound a lot like and are one of the best).

Do you have last.fm/rym man? Ernesto Djedje is good shit, I'll check the rest out based on that.
