i only know the answer to one of these and itäs twin peaks

Why do you prefer Supermodified over Bricolage or Permutation?

>Robert Wyatt - Rock Bottom
>Winter Light
>ummm Martian Timeslip? tfw readlet
>The Sopranos

Watch more Bergman, Seventh Seal is great but not even in his top five. Best filmmaker of all time
love that Amon Tobin album
yuck, no offence

>Nico - Desertshore
>No Country For Old Men
>Moby Dick
>Breaking Bad

yeah I've seen wild strawberries, persona and seventh seal so far. It's just that every new one I've watched became my new favourite movie. Will def watch more soon tho

What would you say are Bergman's top 5 films?

My all-time favourite song is on it (Four Ton Mantis), the first half of the album is easy, catchy stuff to get into whilst the other half devolves into more experimental coolness. Love the variety.

Bricolage and Permutation are both very close seconds, but not quite there as I feel Supermodified is.

Solid. The stranger is great.
Not bad
Favorite thus far

Sugarglider - Renny Wilson

Evan Prosofsky's Waterpark.

Naked Lunch - Burroughs
No tv
Nice album.

wew

Wild Strawberries is beautiful as well. Persona is also fantastic and less straightforward than anything else he ever did
Honestly thought to say, it changes often, maybe
Winter Light
Though A Glass Darkly
Autumn Sonata
Fanny and Alexander
and maybe Smiles of a Summer Night though it's very different to standard Bergman
Shame and the Passion of Anna are both great, as is Cries and Whispers and Scenes form a Marriage. Plus Hour of the Wolf, The Virign Spring, the Magician... honestly it's hard to go wrong if you pick a film at random form anywhere between '53 onwards, there was only the occasional dud.

I'd say if you're just getting into him, watch the Virign Spring, Through a Glass darkly, and Winter Light. Then from his '70s work Cries and Whispers and Autumn Sonata. Dozens of great films, he was a genius

>Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law
why did the world forget about this 10/10 show?
>Naked Lunch - Burroughs
i love this book so much but can't recommend it to people out fear of them never speaking to me again.

bergman is just one of those directors who manages to capture an individual's life with all the complexities and weirdness. I love how he draws attention to these little surreal moments everyone has. You just feel such a deep fulfillment watching his movies if you take the time. It really is cinema at it's greatest imo

that was mess sorry

Yeah, fully agree. I asked the question half jokingly. Saying pleb and patrician unironically is the pinnacle of autism

Not that user but anyone who doesn't listen to full albums is a complete objective pleb.
Everything else is fine.
