nothing will bring it back as a genre, but the whole 'aesthetic' thing had an unintended impact on the atmosphere of a lot of the internet. It was mediocre most of the time. idk if what I'm saying makes sense.

The aesthetic was influential, people like Yung Lean and Mac Demarco helped bring it to the mainstream internet along with sites like Tumblr. The genre itself was always mostly a niche give or take a few tracks. Most of the people who say they like vaporwave are more into the fashion, memes, philosophy or art than music. It's had more of an impact as a cultural movement than musically.

Sadly h3h3 is head and shoulders above the other stuff that orbits him. iDubbbz and Filthy Frank are trash.
