oh yeah huh, whoops

God that's an awful chart desu

what about it? if you don't like it, then i'm sure you've never listened to it

Vic chesnutt-West of rome/Left to his own device

specifically what don't you like about it

That's a Sup Forumscore album

Whats the album with the lighthouse buddy

is it? from what i've seen, people shit on metalica any chance they get on this board

Both of you seem like you'd like Elliott Smith's self titled and the band Medicine. Can't make a chart right now.

Mr Bungle, Zappa, Primus, Black Sabbath, SOAD, Metallica, Weezer, Green Day, Tool, Megadeth, and Led Zeppelin make such boring music. There's just nothing that interesting on your chart. It's all surface level pucks, and not even good ones.

...

John Maus - We Must Become The Pitiless Censors of Ourselves
Excellent gloomy hypnagogic pop

saved because we have such similar taste. I'm bad at recommendations.

yeah but when was this chart made? i was just going off of what i normally see in these types of threads these days

alright then, recommend me some music to listen to

July 2016

if you think mr bungle, zappa, tool, and primus make uninteresting music you must be deaf

it baffles me that AF didn't get bumped down like Deathconciousness did.

what's that first cover, with the dude with the stache?

ive not really heard much mucore desu

oh hey Stevie Nicks user haven't you been on this board for a while?

This is my chart
What I'd consider 'interesting' on there are;
Robbie Basho - Visions of the Country (near-epic american primitive guitar 'sound paintings')
Secret Stairways - Enchantment of the Ring (wintery lo-fi dungeonsynth)
maudlin of the Well - Part The Second (beautiful avant-prog with a bizarre dreamlike atmosphere)
Coil - ...And The Ambulance Died In His Arms (sometimes terrifying, sometimes flatout depressing live dark ambient/post industrial)
Suffocate For Fuck Sake - Blazing Fires and Helicopters... (screamo influence post-rock interspersed with swedish spoken word. If you listen to this, please have a translator handy while listening or you won't get the full emotional impact)
I love every album on there, but I think those are the most unique and interesting albums that remind me why I love music
Just seems like wankery for the sake of it with not enough substance to it for me to enjoy it. Technically impressive maybe, but not enjoyable
I kinda hate Elliott Smith. Will check out Medecine tho
The Brave Little Abacus - Just Got Back From The Discomfort, We're Alright (experimental midwest emo with mathrock influences, and dense lyrics)

i first came here about two and a half years ago

hey @nDy lol its ur boy

well there's no accounting for taste.
im gonna assume you haven't heard Casiopea.
check out Casiopea - mint jams
its japanese jazz fusion.
im currently listening to visions of the country and so far its really not really my style but ill keep listening

Who dis? Message me
I haven't heard Casiopea. Will check out. Obviously not all the albums I recommended will be up yr alley so feel free to skip any you don't like, but good on you for giving them a fair shot

im actually digging it a little more now. i really like this guys voice

If you haven't been singing along to the Mama Mia! movie soundtrack, are you really enjoying music????????

which songs did you like on Artpop? I just couldn't get into it and I am willing to give it a second chance

>these are the people who are complaining about Sup Forumscore in chart threads

this enchantment of the ring album is pretty cool, but its a little lacking in the melody department

heres some non Sup Forums core stuff for ya

i take it you like ambient

Glad you enjoyed it at all. It's not for everyone, but that album is very special to me. His voice is definitely a highlight
That's actually one of the reasons I love that album so much. Sometimes I want a less 'music-like' experience with less focus on traditional melodies and more on soundscapes and atmosphere, and Enchantment of the Ring has such a perfect mix of those that I can get lost in

yeh

it's funny, i never listen to ambient but i've made lots of ambient type music with with my analogue synths, its just really fun to make that kind of music cause its more simplistic than the other music i write. but some reason it doesnt interest me outside of that

>no Sup Forumscore
>half of them are Sup Forumscore anyways
>the rest are just plain trash

what the fuck is wrong with weezer you tremendous cunt

yeah same its probably the most fun genre to make. idk i just rly like atmosphere in music. its one of the best genres imo

They're Sup Forumscore. And he said no Sup Forumscore

i like most of them but my favourites are applause, sexxx dreams and mary jane holland

Try Bongwater - Power of Pussy

i need help im new too lots of different music outside of metal and need good reccomendations outside of the /mu core stuff im also very new oo /mu so any help is appreciated

Everything you need is here
4chanmusic.wikia.com/wiki/Essential_Charts

why are albums released before several of the classics not in classics

Does it make me a pleb that I had to remove 10 albums and there's still shit that some would consider Sup Forumscore?

Nice casiopea picks, I've been taking my time to get into them. Have you got any recs similar to them?

Check out delta sleep. They're the same kind of vein as Brave Little Abacus but a little cleaner sounding.

What kind of music or genre is compelling to you? If you can't figure that out just browse mu and pick up some albums that you like the look of, then search for similar bands to that and it'll grow your library.

don't like any of these much sorry

how about everyone listen to the dead c and we'll all feel better
