But he started as a 'true communist' in his own words, transcended to NazBol some time before/during the 1993 crisis and ended up as an apolitical hippie and distanced himself from the NBP as far as I know

One of the better Soviet punk bands is ДК (Дoм Кyльтypы / Palace of Culture). Some artiness, some experimentation, a lot of dirt & vodka.
