Tfw massive alcohol problem in country

>tfw massive alcohol problem in country

why

It's Friday night.
Ireland feels your pain.

cheers

well we got the whole bunch here haven't we

drinking every nights when I work the next day and I work tomorrow

And I'm almost out of booze, 2 beers to go.

Hello.

that's just sad. i have 3 pints of lager and a bottle of scotch standing by. probably gonna finish them when i get back from the party.

hey, this is /drunk/ general

what's up?

i wish i had bought 3 more lagers, now i feel sad

Very related to this thread I have half bottle of Finlandia but I don't have any mors. Too lazy to go to the nearest 24 supermarket.

same

What is it about high latitudes and alcoholism?

how can you even have an alcohol in a country where it's so expensive that people go abroad to buy booze

no offence your country is rich and civilised but it seems so depressing. there is nothing not even nature

a spurious correlation

an alcohol problem*
sorry i'm drunk

easily

it's not THAT expensive

Probably because 99% of Finns have autism and alcohol is the only way you guys can communicate with each other.

for the drunkard it doesn't really matter how much it costs. if you have to eat rat food because you spend all your money on expensive alcohol then you eat rat food. that's what an addiction basically is.

in lithuania they rose the alcohol tax over 100% in hopes people would drink less. turned out they started drinking more. go figure. money isn't really relevant when you want something

>tfw your country hasn't had an alcohol problem since the early 1900's
Feelsgoodman

Poor people buy expensive heroin which is much more expensive than beer or vodka.

>it's not THAT expensive
I understand, but still it's always more economic somewhere
when my brother studied in Ukraine, he used to buy vodka for less than 1$/500ml, now that was a deal
and it was pretty good on top of that
we easterners need to adopt western drinking culture

>that's what an addiction basically is.
no, it's for purely for medical reasons

yeah but people can get alcohol if need be and alcoholics will always get it somewhere like said

When I go to Estonia which is like 3 times a year , Estonians never seem that much of drunkards they seem pretty civilized and European.

I feel like the drunkard there.

>western drinking culture
Just sipping pure beverage like it's juice? Even severe alcoholics rarely do it here. Russians can't stand the taste of strong alcohol like Anglos. Can you?

I don't consume alcohol regularly. Send help before I get found out and executed.

it's because you are. you finns drink without control. you're like russians in that manner. you have no limitations and you get shitfaced too easily. we drink in a more civilized manner.

and truth be told, we are drinking less and less by the year.

I've met quite a few people who brew their own beer and say it's dirt cheap and fun.

Not to support an addiction but maybe as a new hobby?

man, brewing a bear is quite hard. i've tried. many times. it's much easier to homebrew wine and even cheaper

>out of booze
>switch to weed

I have literal alcoholisms so can't talk for myself, but doesn't Estonia have insane amounts of alcohol related deaths, violence, accidents and crime, even more so than Finland?

I used to make some evil kvass but beer is too much of a bother with equipment and technology. If you want a quality product you must pay attention and gain some serious knowledge and also experience with your own recipe + equipment + ingredients.

I always assumed wine would be harder.

It's pretty profitable atm to get into hop growing on the west coast. The sippy beer culture is really big and there aren't enough hops to go around. Plus they grow like weeds.

oh yeah. a lot of death and violence is in some way or another connected to alcohol consumption. people get violent when they drink. a sober man wouldn't stab another one. unless there's a really good reason i guess

i've been brewing wine with my parents and grandparents for about 20 years. now going solo. it's piss easy. brewing a quality bear however.. it takes a lot more sanitation and method. i'm too lazy to manage that. wine is pretty much just, mix, pitch, sit and wait. rack once. bottle. it's the ultimate lazy nigger type of brew. must be why it's so popular among the southern euros i guess

But then how can you say you're more European than us when it comes to alcohol consumption when the effects of alcohol are massive on Estonian society? Much like here, of course, like OP's propaganda picture states (80% of homicides in Finland are alcohol related).

How many homicides does Finland even have? I would think very few.

you use words like insane and massive, but it's really not that bad. that's not to say it's not a problem, but still, you're way over emphasizing it

1,6 per 100 000 people, which is relatively high for a civilized welfare state. 80% of these alcohol related.

US has 4,8 and Spain has 0,6 for example.

Still, Estonia has huge homicide rates (by western standards), and they're mostly thanks to alcohol abuse.

+ i didn't say we're more european in that regard. just out drinking habits are a bit different. you guys, from what i have seen, like to drink a copious amount and end up under the table in your own vomit. we sort of last through out the night until the sun rise... it's like you're a bit aggressive with the booze, we take it more chill

Is Uuno Turhapuro or Spurdo Sparde your hero?

ok. moving out to the beach party now laddies. have a good one!

stop drinking alcohol

neither

Virgin fag

>tfw never drank alcohol once in my life

Writing suicide notes.

And you????

cuck

*stabs his brother and suicides the day after*

A spurdious gonnegtion :DDDD

doing my last beer sadly

Okay muhammed al-norwegi.

Sharia doesn't allow that so it's no surprise, maybe you could try it if you are ever outside of the caliphate of canada.

have fun fren I'm about to go out too

Muslim, underage or cuck?

Wut I thought Russians drank vodka as a table drink, like it was water.

>tfw drink maybe 2-3 times per year

What do you like so much about it? I mean it's nice but nothing I want to do all the time.

>problem
Lmao I knew Finns cant drink

It makes my problems go away, makes me social and funny, gives me enjoyment of music and so on

We drink much but we use snacks after every shot and alcohol doesn't go along with meals. When Russian saw how Americans drink in movies the whole country decided that they're worse drinkers than us. many think it today bacause of their manner.

i used to drink a liter of vodka a day for years and then one day just stopped because i started getting hangovers and feeling that bad the next day just isnt worth it

>drinking al-kuhuul
by allah

Alcohol helps make fun things dinner but the line between fun and addicted can be unfortunately blurry at times.

Oblivion.

Vodka is a drink for extra poor peasants from the 19th century, I wonder how you guys fell for this meme.

>the line between fun and addicted can be unfortunately blurry

yes tell me more

im an alcoholic btw xd

Funner*

it's really cheap the brand i would get was only like $4/liter which i'm sure isn't russia cheap but it was the cheapest thing in the store

I like the feeling it gives to me. Though I don't even drink every single week so I use it fairly moderately I think.
