Well if you’re coming at it from a bro-fantasy angle like fucking Skyrim then sure, though some stuff like Murgrind and Elffor is actually pretty similar to some soundtrack work. But the rest of it isn’t really supposed to be soundtrack-oriented, since it comes from black metal. If you like the vibe of black metal intros then dungeon synth is like perfect. A lot of it isn’t very technical I guess but some of it gets p intricate

It thinks it's the most fascinating thing that people used to listen to swing music and do the charleston and probably idealises this time period when if they'd actually grown up back then they'd be working 14 hours a day to be able to afford a can of beans for dinner and hoping a war doesn't happen so that you get sent to die a tragic pointless death before you turn 20. And also idealising some other time period.
Same as any entertainment that draws from old things. Like this current fascination with the 1980s when that decade was everything a psuedo-adult millennial hipster claims they hate turned up to 11.
I don't think Caravan Palace is actually like this but it's the kind of ethos you pick up on.
