Listen to rock or electronic music instead. It's more your thing
But I enjoy hip hop a lot as well as its influences on my favorite non-hip-hop artists, I just can't stand brainless gangsta shit (somewhat contradictory) and trying to find my thing. Even modern ''intelligent" hip hop, like Kendrick or Danny Brown, seems to have a lot of that (I've listened to all of their albums).
If you're white I recommend you rethink your life.
That's too bad
Anonymous people on the internet aren't gonna tell me how to live my life
>Cunninlynguists
>A tribe called west
>MF doom
You can't order black hiphop without nigga nigga though.
Too late, I already told you.

yeah because Sup Forums seem to adore songs like:
> All of your bitches they loose
> All of my bitches they rich
> And they stay rockin' that Rick
> What, what, huh, what, what, huh
> Rich, rich, Cash Carti, bitch
> Rich, bitch, got a rich clique
> I'm suckin' on the clit, she suckin' on the dick
and I don't really, that's idiotic of me I guess
thanks for the recc
A bald assertion isn't an argument. I've already refuted your representation based arguments. Give me something else.
No one has mentioned Busdriver yet!
Jeru tha Damaja
he was mentioned but he's worth mentioning again
i see more people adoring that 6ixty9ine guy or whatever and I don't understand that but I've never seen anyone praise carti lmao that guy sucks ass
Have you tried Brockhampton? They have a lot of non-gangsta stuff but there is some but it’s definitely less that Kendrick.
They're quite fun, a bit poppy, don't really listen to them much. But yes, that's sure better than gangsta.
Some dudes gave good answers and i'll try to add without repeating but they did a really good job

>sugarhill gang
>will smith
Three Six Mafia
Wtf on the first two and aren't 3-6 typical southern gangsta shit?
Why are you guys taking this awful bait? sage
Sugarhill Gang is like the Bill Haley's Comets of rap. Cheesy but fun.
Why is it bait?
Abstract Hip hop
fool
idiot
post-creep bones
Atlas
Old eminem
>no bitches on my dick uh
>entire no shame album
if you're going with hopsin listen to RAW and stop there
Why is this bait? I listened to gangsta hip hop from dr.dre and tupac to eminem/d12 exclusively (didn't know better) in middle school. I really like instrumental hip-hop (flying lotus, endtroducing), because it doesn't contain awful boastful/tough-thug-life/fuk-drumph lyrics that I'd need to ignore anyway. I'd like something much more abstract, but couldn't find it in anything Sup Forums has been talking about in recent years, and I don't know much about underground/alternative hip-hop, aside from aesop rock/death grips/dalek.
Flower boy by Tyler the creator

The former is one the most hilarious hip-hop albums ever
The later has beats by jdilla if thats your thing
> you will have to deal with it
Yes, I guess so, as least mf doom sounds great regardless of his occasional gangsta-speak.
And nobody mentioned The Streets? I'd really be happy to find anything alike.
yes lol
Absolutely essential. If you like this you have to listen to the Jungle Brothers.
MC Paul Barman is so underrated. Is it because he's white?
