Do you call it the Netherlands or Holland?

Do you call it the Netherlands or Holland?

I think Holland sounds better and the meme about the Dutch caring is exaggerated

We call the country ''Oranda(オランダ)''
So I didn't understand what's Netherlands when I heared the country name in English

Holanda

Holland in German

I write NL in English though

Most of just call it the Netherlands probably because in Dutch it's also "Nederland", it's actually pretty cringy when I hear someone say Holland instead of The Netherlands.

their queen is an argentino hooker

Holland

It's "Kankerland" in Swedish. Some Spanish "funny guy" told our king in the 1600's that they wanted to be referred to us the kankers, living in Kankerland.

Call it Dutchland.

Can't deny that

illegal to say my friend if you say that here you will go to jail

I haven't laughed this hard in a while, are you serious.

Nederland

Países Bajos or Holanda indistinctly

she could be a pornstar desu.

Fuck off you fucknig slant-eyed nip. You Koreans are so fucking ugly you try to look like Europeans using shitloads of plastic surgery, but guess what? You're still ugly!

Can't wait until Kim Jong Pong nukes your shit to the fuking ground.

We call it The Netherlands. In Dutch we just say Nederland (singular).

Holland is more for chanting. But I dont live in Holland.

Everybody calls it Holanda over here. Some snobs call it "Países Bajos" but it sounds forced as fuck

What is it

Either if I feel like it. I don't think about Holland much, but when I do, I call it either Holland or the Netherlands.

Everyone here knows it as Holland.
Nederlandene is also a valid name but most people won't know what you're talking about.

Holanda

This first contact with the Portuguese, do you really call bread of pan?

Both, Niderlandy Hидepлaнды or Gollandiya Гoллaндия (in Russian we traditionally use the G letter to transcribe H).

There is a historical anecdote about an officer of the Soviet foreign ministry who was tasked with writing some note mentioning the Netherlands and he used the word "Gollandiya". It said that Molotov (Stalin's foreign minister) remarked that "tol'ko syr byvayet gollandskim, a strana - Niderlandy (only cheese can be of Holland, and the country is The Netherlands)", and told him to correct his mistake.

>It's said

Holanda in Arabic

Olanda
how do you call the Uk, Uk or England?

In Russian we call it Velikobritaniya (Great Britain) in more official context, and Angliya (England) colloquially. We almost never refer to the UK as, well, UK (which is Soyedinionnoye Korolevstvo in Russian) which sometimes may create a confusion in translation.

>in a more official context

I call it Holland.
My dad lived there and he calls it that, so I rely on his nomenclature.

We don't care, subhuman.

We call it Holland mostly. Some people try to force the "Low Countries" meme but it's a fucking retarded name tbph.

Oranda!!

This in spanish too

Calling it Holland would be the same as calling the whole of Great Britain England.

Which is what healthy, well adjusted adults do. England = Great Britain = United Kingdom, all the same shit since England is the only relevant part. Just like Holland and the """"Low Lands"""".

We call it Holland here

i do both :^)
