Maxinquaye is the best record to be labeled "trip-hop", and one of the best from the 90's. Nearly God is great, though often overlooked. The following two proper records (Pre-Millennium Tension and Angels with Dirty Faces) are really, really good. That's 1998. It's two decades now of mediocre music after that. It's a shame. No new direction, no risks, just the same old sound growing more tiresome each time.
I saw him live a couple of years ago and it was a blast though.

They said so, but I don't know. They were supposed to release two EPs last year, one by 3D and one by Daddy G. The latter never came out. It looks like that gut wants nothing to do with the band since 100th Window's times. At least 3D's one was cool, with Tricky featuring and all that.
