Try choosing albums that you're a fan of and find contemporaries in the same genre using sites like rym. Listen to things that catch your eye. Ask yourself what kinds of music you really like and are interested in. It also wouldn't hurt to shrink down your chart a little while posting in threads like these, it comes of as a little bloated considering the content and where you're posting it.

Thanks for the compliment, im pretty new to these chart threads. I really like that Dave Bixby album, and I'll be sure to listen to that Basho one. Honestly it looks like we have pretty similar tastes, you could probably take recs straight from my chart if there are ones you haven't heard yet.

...

i've heard all of jason's album except for that one he did with johnson. But yeah,Impala really grew on me after the first listen. But i like protection spells, autumn bird songs, the ghost and axxes and ace more

I love all of your charts equally, you all have good taste, don't be ashamed of it and embrace it! Don't let your insecurities or others opinion ruin enjoyment of music! The act of listening to music is very personal and intimate, don't let anyone influence it the way you don't want to!

I am in dire need for reccs. It's been a while since I found something that would relate to me on a more personal level. My diet lately has been mostly noise rock and improv/free jazz. I have found myself in need for something more calm and soothing like art pop music maybe(first genre I thought of, not specifically art pop), but while still retaining interesting sounds and nice experiments. I guess currently I am exhausted from music that constantly needs my attention and need something less engaging.

Cool. Instantly discarded. Elitist bullshit.

>liking classical and jazz is now elitist

Well hello there.

No, thinking that your musical preferences puts you in a position to look down on others is elitist.

Really? These threads exist to rate charts. I don't like rap & metal and prefer more mature music. Go cry to your mommy about how I slammed your shitty music.

So to retread your argument:
>oh I'm being elitist now?
>yeah ok I am. go cry about it

calssical and jazz yes,

Thanks for introducing me to Aidan Baker. Really great stuff.
If you like harsh drone, I recommend Hjarnidaudi - Pain:Noise:March.
If you want something more Ambient, When- The Black Death

Heard snippets of Bush's music, but still haven't checked out the whole thing. I liked what I heard, so I've been meaning to get into her music. Other reccs also noted, thank you anons!
Also, Guerilla Toss is great
