Wtf this shit is literally Ed, Edd and Eddie music.
Why so many people pretend this dumb shit is good?
/blindfold/ revival when?
even a simple jazz thread asking people to post albums they like usually never gets more than 20 replies so i doubt there would be any interest in something like the blindfold thread at all

Billy Harper is a generally underappreciated artist.

jazz is a cool genre but jazz "fans" are absolutely insufferable
It's the same guy that says this over and over again to troll people don't take this bait. Dude just stop.
"fans" in every genre are insufferable
metal snobs and rap snobs are just as bad
This one is amazing
>this one autist that accuses everyone of being jtg if you post anything other than Coltrane, Mingus, or Davis
I think almost every time I post a jazz album I like I get called either a rockist or JTG
Hey excuse me if I'm autistic but I don't lurk a ton, what does JTG mean?
what are some good modern jazz releases?
no, you're a tryhard hipster
...
jazzthreadguy, well-known for making jazz threads and his critical review of Ryo Fukui - Scenery
It stands for jazzthreadguy who was a tripfag who used to post in all the jazz threads. He still reviews albums on RYM.
so which specific things of that review do you disagree with?
>Listen to album
>Be called insufferable for actually making a thoughtful review that briefly picks it apart
Sup Forums
>give everything that's popular a low rating and spew out some meaningless fancy sounding theory words
>people consider it a "thoughtful review"
Sup Forums
>gets scared of the word 'chromatic'
hmmm ok den
>and spew out some meaningless fancy sounding theory words
do you really think that words are meaningless just because you don't understand their meanings?
holy shit dude why do you even come to Sup Forums

THOUGHTS ON LITTLE COLTRANE?
youtube.com
...
I like the sound, but it feels a little too soft to me
thanks for the rec tho
He's a good player who I think would have a good career even without needing to trade on his father's fame. I'm sure he wouldn't quite as well-known or lauded but he does have his own sound that is obviously influenced by his father but is also distinct and more modern minded.
whats something like albert ayler but freakier
check out the Clown by Mingus. Haitian Fight Song is some hype shit
i already heard this something varese influenced?
Thoughts on Brad Mehldau?
>fancy sounding theory words
I'm late but you're a humongous faggot.
There's nothing wrong with wanting to find something new you baby.
Some people like to branch out beyond the albums they liked when they were 14.
