Thanks!
How do I get my curls to be like Bruce's?
No problem. Heartland Rock is my favorite genre of music.
Can you post more?
These guys deserve more attention:

Damn Bruce is so fucking good. Glad everyone is coming around to him, hated hearing “lol patriotic song dude”

Southern Accents has alot of gems. Some got left off due to drugs, and later released. A lot of his other albums are good as well.
With Earle, I recommend the albums Guitar Town, Exit 0, Copperhead Road, and parts of the Hard Way.
With Mellencamp, a lot of his 80's stuff is good. Scarecrow is probably his best album
I'm sure you know Springsteen based on the picrelated in OP
Here's some Southern Rock stuff that I think fits the bill:

God Bruce has so many great non-studio album tracks. Just wish he'd stop trying to re-record old outtakes with modern vocals.
...
I've been listening to this a lot lately

Petty did as well. He tended to add some of the songs to later albums that were written earlier.

A few more examples. Tom is very underrated as far as his writing abilities. Didn't seem to get much love till he died.
His outtakes make me wonder what else he's kept unreleased. Southern Accents and Wild Flowers were both supposed to be double albums so no doubt there is a lot of songs, and just a few have been released

This, one thousand times, this.
The amount of attention these guys get is exactly the amount that they deserve.
ya and many of their live shows are even more country. that album will always be "the one" tho
Absolutely. I was already thinking about posting this.

And a couple bonuses since we're in country rock mode:

This is a good thread, much obliged.
I am convinced of Tom Petty now, still not so much of Bruce. It's very difficult for me to get used to the post 70s sound of instruments in these genres.
Down The Road- Earle is the first song of him I can appreciate. Nice!
im checking them out dude . love this style of music and I wish it was discussed more often here. Thanks for sharing
Gregg Allman- These Days is amazing
his singing style in trailer sounds a bit like Dylan

I highly recommend Bob Dylan's Nashville Skyline to folks in this thread. It's hard to find Dylan's stuff on youtube, but here's an alternate take of my favorite song from the album (album take is better).
He toured with Dylan just a few years after he wrote it. Guessing he admired him a little
Yeah, Heartland Rock changed when it went into the 80's because of synthesizers, slicker production, and attempts to cross over to pop to get bigger hits.
Mellencamp avoided synths like the plague, Petty used them some, not alot, and Springsteen embraced them on Born in the USA.
Earle, being more of a country act, didn't really use them either.
Down the road is a great song, one of my favorites by him. Glad you enjoy it
this
I had not heard this before. It is very good. Thanks for the listen.
BRUUUUUUUUCE
>Bruce will die in your lifetime
>There will never be anyone like him again
Felt the same thing after Tom Petty died. Wasnt a fun day
I'm scared of that day. Because most college aged Sup Forumstants either write him off outside Nebraska or think he's a racist patriotic moron from BITUSA. And anyone under is too edgy and ignorant to care about non-trap and top 40 shit and will make a bunch of memes and shitposts when he dies.
Look at the sticky for the Cranberries. Atrocious.
10/10 thread
Last night I was listening to this solo album by Booker T. from Booker T. and the MG's and he actually had a few songs that I thought had a country rockish flavor. You might call some of this country-soul:

A lot of those soul/jazz guys did country stuff for some reason. Ray Charles comes to mind
I really liked that. Thanks for posting.
Underrated
nice
not OP, but thanks user.

Solid song
thx M8
very much so. wilco gets a lot of hate and their acclaim seems to only be for a small section of their early 00s work.
