George Micheal damn, been a while since I heard that one. Enjoyed him?
Also great artists as usual. the headhunters, Mort Garson and Gil Scott-Heron, all great
Good stuff, should listen to Yo La Tengo again.
Have faith bro
Good stuff that I should listen to more like Can and soft machine
Cool stuff man
:p
>yo la tengu
i kinda like dump more
I always loved his debut album. I am listening to the rest of the discography of his for the first time today.
Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 was a perfect pop album, but left me cold. I am gonna try another one tomorrow.
What's your favourite Prince album? I still haven't tried a lot of his albums.
thanks bro. I love all the Johnny Cash you're listening to. My parents used to listen to him all the time so I always get very nostalgic whenever I hear his music.
Soft Machine are a band i'm trying to get into, everyone always posts their third album the most but their debut seems to be the most accessible to my ears
>tissues
What does Kirino’s onee-sama need those for
Os Mundi is pretty cool, especially 43 Minuten. If you want something really raw and brutal sounding check out any release by Amon Düül (the first band). As far as modern Krautrock goes, I'd suggest Von Spar (they got a pretty good s/t, one of two songs can be found here youtube.com
thanks I have only listened to Amon Düül II so i'll definitely check out the first band as I liked what I heard from them. I've never really thought about looking for modern krautrock although I did like Die Verboten's album 2007
>What does Kirino’s onee-sama need those for
idk, but what are thooooose for
My favorite is purple rain. Every listen to it I'm almost surprised by how good it is, the perfect pop album for me.
Prince has vast catalouge and contrary to what people might say both his early and late stuff are really good. Aside for like, his first album (for you I think it's called) I liked all of his albums.
Yeah Johnny Cash is great. Really love what I'm listening to right now too.
As long as you enjoy the music it's the most important part. Speaking of bands that are jazz fusion/jazz rock have you tried Return to forever and weather report? they are both great, very much recommended.
>scrobbling for 10 years now and feel old as fuck
in case he sneezes and has to blow his nose. what do YOU think they are for?
I should go through Johnny Cash's discography at some point, I assume he has a ridiculous amount of albums recorded.
Weather Report are some ridiculous musicians and I've enjoyed the albums of theirs that I've listened to (the Jaco albums especially as I love his bass playing and play bass myself). I haven't heard of Return to Forever before. Got a good start point for them?
Yeah I think he has like 50+ studio albums.
Start with the self titled which should be a Chic Corea album (which he is a great artist too). I think he took the guys which played with him on this album and made the band. It's a fantastic record. After that you got Light as a feather and rest of their records, should go chronologically I think.
I'm assuming you've listened to Mahavishnu Orchestra before? If not you'd really enjoy them. Their skills on their instruments are of the highest level and have some great tunes. Also Soft Machine's album Bundles has Allan Holdsworth on it and is pretty interesting
Been going through more mu essentials recently. Haven't strayed away too much from them just yet, sadly. Getting there!
Glad to see someone else listening to Spiritualized, such a great band. What are your fave mu essentials so far? After recs?

recs plese
we have super low compatibility so take this rec with a grain of salt but if you like Townes Van Zandt, Gene Clark would probably be up your alley.
His album No Other is fantastic, or his joint album The Fantastic Expedition of Dillard and Clark. His work with The Byrds (first 3 albums i think off the top of my head) is also fantastic
thanks a lot bud
Sure, recommendations are always welcome. As for favorites, hmmm, I'd say Benji, Helplessness Blues, Pet Sounds, Liquid Swords and Time Out.
I guess for the folk album recs seeing you like Benji and Fleet Foxes the obvious place would be Red House Painters first two albums and their album Ocean Beach. You might already know this but they were Mark Kozelek's band before he started Sun kil Moon. Also the Sun Kil Moon album's before Benji are great too, especially Ghosts of the Great Highway. You might also like some older folk like Nick Drake's amazing 3 albums and John Martyn's Solid Air. They use a lot of interesting guitar tunings and are both great players.

If you liked Time Out i'd recommend Brubeck's later album Jazz Impressions of Japan which is one of my favourites
Wow, thanks. Yeah, I'll check them all out. Thanks, again.
all good. I forgot to put a sample but yea Sun Kil Moon's first album Ghosts of the Great Highway is ridiculously good and probably his best under that moniker. It has great imagery of highways (obviously) and old boxers and stuff

Will follow everyone itt.
Meh, worth a shot

The Smiths, Radiohead and Wire are all some of my favourite bands :) have you ever listened to Talk Talk? I always think that Mark Hollis was a huge inlfuence on early Thom Yorke (pre Kid A), especially in stage mannerisms. All their albums have their highlights but their last 3 albums are especially great and probably the most influential to Radiohead if I had to guess.
God is good.
last.fm
Talk Talk is the kind of band I haven't got to listening to for some reason, I just only know their history. Been planning to listen to their new wave material, then their post-rock material, but they been in my queue of albums to listen to for a long time ever since I found other bands. I'll decide whether to listen to them soon enough, but thanks for the rec anyways.

This is a thread for love. No bullies pls
You're the biggest fag on this board.
Hes had his account since 2014 and still seeking 4chin approval. Quit being such a fucking sheep.
What's you're last fm, user?

Good vibes only lad.
I'm not the one seeking approval here. If anything I'm just saying quit trying hard to fit in.
someone is desperate for attention today, have a you
But user. Wouldn't you say that you're doing exactly that, trying hard to fit in, by going into a thread you clearly have no interest in. Only to shit talk people's taste?
hope everyone is having a good day :)
last.fm

No god.
Yes, though idk if they are a "god" in the sense of a divine entity with a conscience or a sense of self. I don't feel like there's much reason to assume they are benevolent either.
last.fm/user/healthymoon
i'd like to believe god exists, but it just doesn't make sense to me. why would god be necessary if the big bang theory is true? and how would something so powerful be possible at all? would god just be an entity or energy of some sort, or would it take on a physical form? it's simpler to assume there isn't one

make the thread more interesting by posting your answer to OP's question
I forgot to answer the question, I will say no. There is no reason to believe something without good reason and evidence. Theist arguments for the existence of God, a lot of the time boils down to an argument from ignorance/personal incredulity. That or "you just have to have faith", you can use faith to believe in a lot of things doesn't make it true or remotely a reliable method to truth.

fashionably late
finally feeling confident enough to post this piece of shit, ignore anything before this month
How are you liking The Glow Part 2?
