Buddy Holly is still better than any other pre-60s rocker though.

Because he's not white.

Because Buddy Holly was better and Fats Domino was more important.

All of his songs were the same.

But white people made so many contributions to rock they eventually made sub-genres of it, like alternative-rock and metal. People can make the argument that black people made rock, but white people damn sure perfected it.

Because he was a seuxal predator and his discography should not forgotten amirite

he single-handedly saved pop music in the 60s

because Elvis is better. At the end of the day it dosen't matter who did it first, it matters who did it better.

There's one major flaw on your argumentation kiddo
Elvis didn't wrote his owns songs

>perfected it
>metal

He is. You need a better social scene

This

>Elvis didn't wrote his owns songs
didnt read his own post

Well, he was just a performer/frontman
He was great at performing and singing songs with a unique style

Dude fucked more white wimmens than Sup Forums

So none?

he is tho

All that matters is that Chuck Berry started the fire. Maybellene, Roll Over Beethoven (one of the best and most important songs of early rock music period), Johnny Be Goode etc. set the standard for what rock music was

What is this from?

*blocks your path*

metal was the worst thing to come out of rock n roll

And? 15 year olds didn't care about that, especially not in the 50's.

Metal was invented by the Eternal Anglo to help destroy the white race.

Hate to break it to you guys...

That's like calling Link Wray the king of heavy metal.

Wasn't light skinned enough. If he was Little Richard's complexion he would have been fine.

Elvis is the king primarily because he's basically the only original Rock n Roller who wasn't a bastard, nutjob or sexual deviant, except Buddy Holly but he died too young and was too on the soft side to be king.

A challenger approaches
The original king and still outlived the other "kings"

"Hail! Hail! Rock n Roll." It's a rockumentary/concert film about Chuck Berry. They get him to play with a bunch of special guests and feature a lot of behind the scenes stuff as they prepare for the concert. But I find it more interesting for the interviews. You also get to see him BTFO-ing Keith Richards for not playing one of the intros rights.

Couldn't find the video where he sets Keith straight. I think it's right before this because it's the intro to this song.

He's called The King because he was the most popular. His success was more responsible than anyone else's in establishing rock music as the dominant form for the next 40 years.

Because he let prostitutes shit on his chest while whistling country songs

Little Richard isn't the king, he's the queen

But he stole his whole persona...

I think we should hear what Little Richard has to say for himself...

I've actually seen that footage (Doesn't Keith touch his guitar or something?), didn't know it was from the same source though. Thank you.
