I think the vocals would greatly benefit from more distortion

The album I'm working on now is half singing, half instrumental. Do you guys think I should release it as one whole album or as a 2 EPs (Album: Part 1, Album: Part 2)? Do you guys think that would help or hurt marketability.
oops, forgot cover and reccs:
oh shit lmao, I never noticed that. We them Tx dog boys
This is pretty cool. I'm getting a pretty big husker du vibe. I'd call it heavy college rock or something.
>notice me senpai :(
hey this is kinda coincidence, dunno if you knew this but zap[demo] is one of the few things ive ever posted as not my own music in these threads good job.

A Planet is made with Oberheim Matrix-12 and is old school electronic music similar to early Edgar Froese.

wow, I had no idea! That's really flattering
>heavy college rock
wow I would never call my music that, but husker du is a big influence and they're post-hardcore right?
They bridge the gap, yeah.
From Wikipedia: "Music writer Michael Azerrad asserted in his 2001 book Our Band Could Be Your Life that Hüsker Dü was the key link between hardcore punk and the more melodic, diverse music of college rock that emerged. Azerrad wrote, 'Hüsker Dü played a huge role in convincing the underground that melody and punk rock weren't antithetical.'"
Forsure. "College rock" just sounds like a putdown label, like "dad rock", as if once you hit 23 it becomes unrelatable. Not sure if you were going for that
oh no lol. I meant it in like the "sounds-vaguely-90s-kinda-gritty-but-also-catchy" way, not as a pejorative
ah fosho, cheers. Sorry for bein insecure

I feel like a lot of us guitar based could just call it music people for people who own more than two distortion pedals

Oh, hi, guys!
I haven't been here since ages. I should probably lurk more and listen to all of your new stuff.
Winter has been somewhat harsh for me and I'm trying to get my shit back together.

I listened to Vol. 6 and 5. This is pretty sweet. I like music mixed with ambience and field recordings. Could be more field recordings for my taste but I'm sure there are tons of people out there who will really dig it the way it is.
Bump!
