I'm not defending the concept of Microchimerism; however, I do like using threads regarding it to post the damning statistics on promiscuity.
>Again, a marriage built purely on sex wasn't meant to last anyways.
While being the consequence of sex, the value placed on virginity isn't solely about sex. The chemicals released in ones brain during and immediately after sex, as I mentioned before, are designed to encourage and facilitate pair-bonding. Like many observable chemical reactions in the brain, the law of diminishing returns applies in a sense. A woman with more partners, more often than not, will not be able to pair-bond as well as a virgin would be able to.
>I'd rather have a society of divorces that leads to happy people that one of permanent ones that lead to misery.
Divorces don't create happy people. Divorces aren't a good thing for society either.
Men have begun opting out of marriage, and I'm not trying to put wind in the sails of the MGTOW crowd, this is actually noticeable by the mainstream.
Aside from men opting out (Which I can only half-heartedly blame them for at this point), divorces create single mothers, and single mothers are a disaster.
They're a drain on resources, they demolish social safety nets, and their kids do worse off in nearly every regard. In some cases, it's better to be born poor, or a minority (but have two biological parents present during upbringing), than it is to be born to a single mother.
Promiscuity & divorce fundamentally erode the family unit, which is the basic building block of any civilization.
