It’s ok to like boring crescendo-core as long as you admit it sucks compared to things like talk-talk and slint
I think that approach to composition is saturated within the the genre, but I don't think it's better or worse than the way Talk-Talk and Slint write their music.
I really dislike that album, but the last two songs make my dick go through the roof

Name me the shared characteristics of style, technique, structure and themes found in Slint's Spiderland, Talk Talk's Laughing Stock and Swans' Soundtracks for the blind.
How about you post your favorite album and then we'll continue this conversation

Your green little words mean nothing to me, little man!
A genre is a noun used to express a style, especially in the arts, that involves a particular set of characteristics. In other words, it is a word meaning a class or category of artistic endeavor having a particular form, content, technique, or the like. Since Slint's Spiderland, Talk Talk's Laughing Stock and Swans' Soundtracks for the blind are all considered part of the "first wave" of the post-rock genre, you should easily be able to name me the shared characteristics of style, technique, structure and themes found in said albums.
SHIT ok you got me
op here this is the last one for this thread
bye
Great choice!
This reminds me a lot of Dorena. Check them out!

Cerberus Shoal is a god-tier band, they've made amazing post-rock albums, amazing avant-prog albums, amazing freak folk albums, amazing emo albums, and they are underrated as fuck.
Why do screamo bands always have the most compelling or innovative post-rock?
MONO is my favorite band
