unless you own said land

Fat shaming got to you?

Surely no one would realize I was just living out in the woods somewhere.

if you went out to state land and just kept moving around it might work. but if you set up any settlement for too long someone will get annoyed

Beware the forest people.

Don't ask yourself if the government will let you. Ask instead if they can stop you.

I wouldn't go unarmed, tell the forest people to beware me.

Yep

Crazy huh

Well the thing is if I go live out in the woods I'd be on someone's property, a lot of people might shoot me on sight. I could go live in federal woods, but I'm pretty sure they have rangers that scout and respond to gunshots if they hear them.

...

>Is it illegal to completely go off the grid and live innawoods off of the land?

Yes

I never gave then rights to land to sell or buy.

You're living on someone's land as a squatter.

If you own land, you're not off the grid. If they can't find you, they'll just auction your shit to pay off the property taxes.

Still have to pay taxes on the property.

So don't use a gun unless you absolutely need to. There's a good amount of national forests and it's entirely possible for you to hide away deep in one of them. Whether or not you have the skills to keep from starving to death or dying from exposure is another thing entirely. You'd certainly be found eventually if you tried to make any kind of large, permanent dwelling.

Yeah shit !! They dont own the land. You cant own it all!! Fuck them with there rotten socially! We dont own them noting. If we want to live in the wood it our right!

Here is an idea OP.

It's simple, plan for an emergency camping trip.

Know the area well, how big and how many people live in what directions.

Know resources and the rate chance you have to come into contact with people.

Remember now you are just camping.

Step 1: Don't stop camping.
Step 2: If you run into wildlife rangers and shit say you were camping and got lost.
Step 3: Don't die.

Bow and arrows

You're living on someone's land as a squatter.
They never got the authority from me to that land.

Tbh this isn't a bad idea.

If you go deep enough into some heavily forested areas you'd probably go unnoticed anyways

You have to keep moving. Some billionaire with acres of land probably won't notice you.

fuck off reddit

Needs to be your land I think, not sure if it's allowed on bureau of land management land but if you go deep enough in who is gonna know?

If you're not living on the land you do not own it.

you wouldn't last, pussy

This was my plan. I planned on using a camper, but I think a regular van would have been better for this sort of life style. The problem is that you need an address that isnt a PO Box to get certain things sent to. A mail boxes etc place might work best.

This is my Appalachian plan.

I hope within the next 3 years to move closer to them, right now i'm about an hour and a half drive from the mountains. (I'm within walking distance from a national forest right now.)

I plan to live close enough to the Appalachians that if shit goes down, I can walk out of my place and just go into the mountains on foot.

Triggered?

If you're going to reject common law, then they're within their rights to commit summary execution.

You don't want to live in a world where people are free to eliminate tresspassers. Just because you don't recognize their ownership, doesn't mean they don't own it.

Waffle on about regulation, history, and word soup if you like. You'll be doing it from the grave.

If you're off the grid and squatting on someone's land, they could vanish your ass and no one would even be aware of your disappearance.

Learn to bow hunt then.

Just wanted to post this image I made a while back

I reject the rights they had to SELL land that they had no right to own.

You can get free land in some parts, but if no roads, no sewers, no food supply, no stores, no electricity, no signal transmissions, you going to have to live from grass, unless you know better.

My annoyance (as property owner) is grounds for uprooting your standard of living.
Your annoyance is the standard.

If you know no one and have few connections to the outside world, you should worry your safety. The government likes to "institutionalize" people who get of the grid, as they don't want us goyim getting away from their fucked up system.

I reject the rights the federal government has towards land, that right belongs to the citizens, if you want land pay the citizens near it for rights to own it.

>who sold you this?
>the government
>who sold it to the government?

>Update
If the citizens of the nation didn't sell it to you, you don't own it.

Price of land rises with government building roads, electric supply, sewers...etc. Try to build 1 mile of road if you have 10 million dollars, then you can say no government.

Just because you don't recognize the laws doesn't mean you're exempt from them.

Ultimately, tough shit. What you think is irrelevant. Enjoy your lye bath innawoods.

cuck

Wv here

>that's all I've got
>instead of confront reality, I'll call him a cuck
>that's the ticket!
Dipshit. It's naive as fuck to think someone that has military ability to control and defend land doesn't own it. Ultimately, whomever can enforce their control owns the area. That's why imminent domain is possible.

>reddit filename

You realize how few rangers there are and how much land there is, right?

It's not the gunfire that will expose you, it's the campfire smoke.

Adverse possession.

I want to build a little cabin in some Alaskan forest near a lake, a mountain, and a little village. I could have a little drone bring me food from the village, and otherwise just work in my little workshop, hike, fish, hunt, and qualitypost on Sup Forums.
My dream.

what about the bears tho?

It's Alaska. Do you know what country that's a part of?
The United States of America.
I'll have a few guns.
And just generally stay away from the bear areas.

gq.com/story/the-last-true-hermit

Read this m8.

I'd do it if I had balls and survival skills.

Just go to remote Northern Alaska. People do this exact thing there all of the time.

Yes

Lol there's no grass up there

There's not much of a point in doing it, when you think about it. You're not protesting anything by leaving civilization, you're not claiming uncharted frontier or building anything your children can use, and you probably wouldn't even be happy, after enough time spent hobo-ing.
If you're worried about the government knowing who you are and where you live, buy a gun and then obey the (mostly reasonable) law.

faggot

Will you get hyderized once you're there? :^)

>be man
>decide to not be a slave to this piece of shit corporate wage slavery
>decide to want to produce food and be free like the founders
>get called bullshit by stockhold syndome faggots.

I'm studying to become a park ranger, I don't even have experience yet, and I can most assuredly say I'd be able to tell if you lived out in any amount of woods here in Oregon. People are WAY messier and louder than they think. You could shoot flares into the sky 24/7 and it would literally be the same.

You can just go ask land owners for permission to live on it as a hermit. Most people who own tons of land won't give a shit so long as you don't cause trouble.

I have this idea once or twice a year, and then get genuinely upset.

I wish I could just venture into the woods and build a cabin, live there for some time. Like Walden. Doesnt every man have the god given right to live for himself, to live free of society?

w-w-who is this seaman demon?

From what I know, he lived on land owned by his friend. But idea of living some time away from society is great, and every one should try it. This will cure socialism.

Sort of illegal. You will probably get in trouble if the rangers know where you are camping and that you have rejected civilization for the true wild life.

If you pick a remote area and don't inhabit one area too long, you won't be discovered easily.

If you mess with the wrong land owners, they will enforce their claim on the land by killing you. You'd better be a good runner or killer yourself. (They will wait until they get a clear shot at you and won't approach unless they think they can get you easily. Time is on their side and so are the rangers, cops and other land owners.)

But the real reason most people don't do that is a combo of loneliness and there is not much to eat in the woods.

If you can get over those two problems and be fit enough to move when you need to, you will do alright.

I live near the Appalachians. Do you know that the winter is pretty cold up there?

It's not Rocky Mountains or Canada cold, but -10 to -30 is not unheard of in winter (and I'm in southwest Virginia.)

There's plenty to eat in the woods it just all fucking sucks. You can even eat pinecones if you want. The woods suck to live off of, even if you're an experienced cook. The best you'll get is venison and some high quality river fish if you don't make yourself a farm and get some livestock.

>reddit
you faggots are so pervasive and annoying

It's legal here in Sweden. We have something called Allemansrätten (Freedom to roam) which let's you live on anyone's property and do whatever you want. Many Swedes choose to opt out of society and move in to cucksheds far out in the beautiful Swedish wilderness, far away from their wives and her bull, giving them lots of space. Outside of the big cities we have the friendliest wildlife in the entire world and the most beautiful nature you'll ever see.

Come home, white man. You belong in the Swedish woods. It's the only place where you can truly find happiness. Ted Kaczynski knew what was up. Is he the most redpilled man who has ever lived? The only weird thing that he did was that he chose to live in Montana rather than Sweden.

Come home, white man

Come home

Duly noted Sven

>So comfy
Sorry, my main man.
I'm going to Alaska.

I'm pretty sure we have snow in Sweden too

It's slowly becoming illegal here in America, 'cause companies and corporations want you to slave your life away and spend money to generate their profit.

I'm an American through and through. I can't just move to my ancestral homeland.

No, it'll be fine. Just stay away from the military and lean on the kindness of strangers.

youtu.be/TzMSfaNXYZg?t=22s

Isnt it illegal to live in the middle of the woods? All land is government owned and theyll try and fuck you into paying tax for existing there.

Why don't you ask her, user?

Get a job on a ranch running fences.

Or move to a very remote area and take your chances, if you do some chores for the people in the area, they will likely repay you with help when needed.

Someone wants to live in my neck of the woods. Makes me happy desu.
