With or Without You by U2 and most pop-punk are also ripoffs of Canon in D, but people are much less eager to sperg out about them. Wonder why.
It's a really beautiful song to me. Taking Pachabel's Canon in D, blending it with Can't Help Falling In Love, and layering it with all those vocals... it's just so moving. The last 30 seconds give me chills every time. The song makes me think of an epic wedding set out in space. In fact, my fiance and I are going to use this song instead of Canon in D at our wedding because of all the memories we have with it. It's a very personal song, and it's not really perfect or extremely creative, but the execution of the song is incredible.
The track is actually quite good. It was just put in a really shitty place in the track listing.
