What was the point on him wearing a mask? He doesn't need it to live like Vader.
What was the point on him wearing a mask? He doesn't need it to live like Vader
Because he's a Darth Vader otaku and he's in permanent cosplay
>What was the point on him wearing a mask?
intimidation, fucking idiot.
This.
People in the cinema laughed when he removed it
to sell toys
I dunno, his fucked up inbred face seemed pretty unsettling on its own.
he's a Knight of Ren, isn't he? might be part of the costume.
and these:
Because in ep 4 Vader had a mask and this was just ep 4 again
>mfw Rey and FN2187 are killed off screen and Kylo and Poe are the main characters
he tried to be a big guy
Then why did he take it off, fucking idiot
Literally because no one cared who he was until he put on the mask.
I heard giggles in the audience too, just a big dumb face
Just to call back to what a cool and mysterious space-villain Vader was with his all black armor and synthesized voice. The first few times you see Vader you're not sure if he's even human, he seems more like a full cyborg.
This is probably the reason in-universe too, for him to be associated with this scary faceless visage rather than just a human by both his enemies and his subordinates.
Why is this even a question?
The guy wants to be Darth Vader, he's a huge fanboy basically. He wears the mask because it gives him the confidence he would never have otherwise to pull that off
...
Because he was a Vader wannabe, that was basically his character
Him wearing the mask and costume, and then removing it to expose a lanky weirdo only makes me think he's really Dark Helmet.
He also knows the mask strikes terror into people as part of the mystery.
inb4 every evil sith whose anybody always has a mask or hood in the games.
This.
I believe in the force dream the other Knights have masks as well.
Yep, same here
The whole audience laughed
It's a costume. He's trying to be something he's not.
He's like a little kid playing dress-up.
Real concept art, far left is the best if he does end up going full Vader. There were more helmet concepts but I couldn't find them.
His design was based off of Darth Revan who also wore a mask and if memory serves he wasn't disfigured or need it to survive.
I could say the same thing about you underaged manlets and your Bane masks
He probably wanted to see better.
Look at how fucking tiny that visor is
