What are the essential punk albums/bands? I just listened to pic related and I think I'm in love.
Punk
Screeching Weasel.
...aaaaaaaand that's it.
...
This is actually true
>being punk in 2018
It's okay to like some of the music, just please don't wear a leather jacket or get a mohawk in 2018.
>when he does the verse in Heel again but screams out the lyrics
>that reverby guitar part in 1049 gotho
>When divide and conquer hits
>the chorus of Rachel Khoo
Might not be album of the year but it has the greatest highlights.
The official chart says post-punk and goth are the same thing.
No shit
My fav song on the album was Date Night
Check out Minutemen, Husker Du, Saccharine Trust, Germs. Also melodic hardcore is the best subgenre of punk and Eight Miles High is the best cover and song of all time.
The Clash, but only the self titled album and maybe London Calling. After that their genre jumps a lot.
Everything but the lyrics here was mediocre as fuck
This is definitely one of the best Punk albums in a while. I'm really pissed that it flew under the radar for most of the scene
>He doesn't get that punk and post-punk are two completely different genres
glassjaw, at the drive in, saetia, alexisonfire...
Surprised nobody here has said husker du
you don't get that chart at all, do you?
stoner rock and grunge aren't the same
house and techno aren't the same
new wave and synthpop aren't the same
folk and the blues aren't the same
>dead kennedys and misfits referenced on hq trivia today
punk is officially for normies
>implying neither of those were already popular bands
This
ghost/rock desu
