That description describes every song on Culture though. Migos are incredibly washed and have been for a while now.

I love when White people give serious reviews to dumb nig nog music.
not even Conde Nast will defend that level of degeneracy
I don't like them but this is clearly 'he was homophobic TWICE! Time for punishment!'
Don't tell Will about this
>taking this trash seriously to begin with
I think it makes sense that an album called Culture 2 would consist of a bunch of disposable material. I mean, did you expect Migos to head to that label meeting where some suit said, “We gotta get more out while you guys are still really popular?”! And turn around and decline because they take every album as a serious stand alone statement? Do these guys seem to be trying to make Pet Sounds? It’s the projection of critical “culture” on a band who has a sound, and is trying to make as many slight variations on that sound as they possibly can. I’m not suggesting Migos doesn’t care about quality per se (though I’d argue that the best way to demonstrate laziness and “strike while the iron’s hot” approach to your album would be to call it Culture 2), but it just doesn’t seem like they’re in the lab making the trap Kid A.
It’s what impress me about Young Thug. He kinda blew up and then just started making a bunch of albums doing whatever the fuck he wanted. That guy thinks about the album as a standalone piece of art. Whether you like him or not, you can’t say he’s not trying to make fascinating music with each official release. Sure, maybe he is on too many throwaway mixtapes and collabs, but his last few proper albums have been, if nothing else, interesting.
Everyone calls Migos the Trap Beatles, but I’d say they’re more the Trap AC/DC.
>charm, intrigue, or wit of its predecessors
There is no way he wrote that with a straight face
