She was taller than Spencer Tracy so he always had to stand on a stool in their love scenes together.

Because they are shooting with color 4K digital cameras

...

Because hollywood replaced classy with slutty.
We need to go back to the classic age of cinema.
Also Hepburn looks just like Captain Janeway from Voyager

thats literally 1950s dana scully from x-files

Better question: why don't American women look like this anymore at all?

FLOURIDE MAAAAAN

Times have just change user.

Though I wish there was somebody like Bette Davis nowadays

scully is more beautiful

They didn't look like that either. the photographer would touch up the image by playing with things to put on the lense

>implying lens filters are anything like photoshop

>Times have just change user

You mean gotten worse?

they're called actors

they still didnt look like that

Yea.

Nice trapples, but "real women" is no longer a thing.

The women tend to have mild androgynous features or look mixed Med.+Nordic, the types that are majority American white with a lot of emphasis on all the things that weren't previously equated with femininity (the rise in "masculine" women, the erosion of the male/female classical dynamic, the rise in pervasive perverse ideas - many of which came from pornography).

It takes the woman and degrades the idea of it by presenting them to you at their basest and at the most primal: implements for your dick to get hard.

Women biting their lip with half shaved hair and ink embedded all over their arms would be considered disgusting and whorish 60 years ago because it's legitimately that. The difference is that there were generational steps taken to incrementally make the normal male/female dynamic less in two people that know nothing about themselves and are reading each other carefully and presented to us professionally and with some hint of elocution.

The last movie that I can remember that embodied all of that was Brooklyn and it was still horrible mainly because it felt pasted with new techniques over old dialogue (in the it's already been said context).

greatest actress who ever lived, this is not up for debate

Oh, and to add to that "incremental steps" idea, it's same with anything cultural.

To subvert it or change it to your whim, it has to steaded carefully. Feminism and sexual revolution of the late 60s into the 70s followed by the increase in civil rights and drugs into the mid 80s, the intentional use of bombast and nudity in box-office action thrillers that heralded the 90s era of porno in it's beginning stages.

Then the internet's sticky grab at all of these elements and using it in it's covert way to embue them all together as day by day the film makers and artists start to impart these mixed weird ideas into real movies that at one time would've seemed like absurd art.

Women are no longer soft, loving creatures that bring us joy and pleasure and mother our children.

This board and others like it actively cling to "anonymous posters" who spout that half are like feminists; "roasties"; BLACKED.

It's all the same thing using a different label. It's your role as men to rein them in and yet you'd rather spill another load to some trap while your diabetes gets worse because "@CrisJens1997 WTF is high fructose corn syrup anyway?! 0_0"

Megyn Kelly has the same face.

No, that would be Lauren Bacall

Lauren Bacall was sexy and had a great voice, but didn't possess even 1% the talent that Kate Hepburn had. Hell, if you're going to contest at least bring up someone like Bette Davis or Joan Crawford

Because women starlets back in the day got in the studio system and were groomed to be good looking. They were given whatever plastic surgery they needed, forced to stay in shape, they had to drink whatever magic tonics they had back then, etc. Their entire job was just to stay good looking.

There are some actresses like that today who are obsessed with their appearance and spend a ton of money on it, but it's not as much pressure as back then. Back then, you gained five pounds, your studio would fire you and you would be blacklisted and never work again.

From a moral standpoint, probably not the greatest thing ever....but, produced some classic beauties.

What did her asshole smell like though? I know women back then had really hairy cunts, cunt musk with the hairy pussy stench. Women only took one shower a week in the early 30s-40s.

lmao kiddo do you really think it's any different now?

get a grip numbnuts

Girls like Jennifer Lawrence meme about eating pizza all the time but you can bet your left nut she meticulously weighs herself once a week and doesn't allow herself to get too fat

I'm more-so talking about greatest looking and sexiest actress.

And Lauren Bacall was that.

At the very least one of the most.

You're wrong. I don't like feminism and hate women bitching but they're right when they see there is enormous pressure on them to stay good looking in the movie industry. That's literally their whole fucking career.

when they say* there is

What about Marlene dietrich?

I mean looks wise she was androgynous as shit but I have to say she was a great actress.

Then explain why there are essentially no classically beautiful leading women.

Women back then were essentially forced to get plastic surgery. The studios owned them. That is not the case at all now. There is pressure to stay good looking, of course, but it is nowhere near what it used to be. If you take a look at what actresses actually looked like back then, you would get it. If you were like 110 pounds, you were fat and overweight.

The fact that you use Jennifer Lawrence as an example of someone who keeps up their appearance pretty much proves the point.

Yup, she was pretty great.

A woman like that in the 50s was the product of eugenics programs in the 20s.

2 bitcoins say this is an old white man posting.

Why did american actors/actresses have that faint british accent back then and why did it go away?

except old school hollywood starlets were thicccc

The rail thin look didn't become a thing until the 80s

It was called a transatlantic accent.

It's how rich WASP kids were taught to speak English in boarding schools but it was phased out in the 60s.

>tfw yuri in 1930s

Bacall is amazing.

I still wonder how madchen in uniform was even allowed to be made.

Germany was a different place back then. It was banned when the Nazis seized the power.

If she does have any sort of regiment, it clearly isn't strict enough

he made a pretty spot-on analysis now that I actually choose to read it.

her and marilyn monroe were perfect type of thicc, exuding a natural fertility with the hips (except late monroe wasa complete drugged out whore by the standards of the time)

...

>he made a pretty spot-on analysis now that I actually choose to read it.

Fuck off old man.

>Fuck off old man.

trying way too hard, this also isn't an argument bud.

I'm wondering, how does it feel to have saggy testicles?

Are we talking about women hear? You have a fixation on all things geriatric whilst I've made a good analysis of what is considered attractive through the years.

>pls respond with something about old men

>phased out in the 60s

That's too bad, it was annoying but it's better than hearing two beaners arguing over the sale of a echo weedwacker at 5:35am in the morning, fucking mexicans.

>whilst I've made a good analysis of what is considered attractive through the years.

Ha! You just revealed your pathetic samefagging old man.

Don't break a hip when you get up from your computer chair after shitting your diaper now.

Fucking nostalgia Google search are the dumbest things ever. Ok look I'll tell you why "they don't build em like _ anymore" it's because the cream rises to the top. You're seeing the best pictures of the best women of the day filtered through time. Them hoes probably looked like shit most days desu

Question, do you want to change the topic from classical women to old men?

Suddenly, every post responded to me by you is about old men.

Do you wish for a father figure? Do I remind you of one who ran out on you? Sorry to hurt your feelings this easy when I was addressing no one in general.

>Recruit best looking talents in the country
>make movies
>Actresses marry far less attractive execs, producers, writers, etc.
>Have babies
>Babies grow up to want gigs in Hollywood
>They are connected as fuck
>return to step 2

Your retorts are pathetic.

Kill yourself.

Evidence
Debbie Reynolds > Carrie Fischer > Billie Lourd

THICC.

So.
This is the power of millennials.

Can't wait for Dunkirk to put you in your place.

Sarah Gadon is Canadian but there you go.

They did in Sam Raimi's Spiderman.

I disagree, actresses look more gorgeous today

>Then explain why there are essentially no classically beautiful leading women.

Standards of beauty change just like culture changes.

Although I would argue that actresses like Sarah Gadon, Charlize Theron, Eva Green, Amy Adams, Jessica Chastain, and Hayley Atwell would all be considered "classically beautiful."

proto-coalburner

unironically dated a black guy in the 30's

Katharine Hepburn, like the wholly unrelated Audrey, was pretty unique in her day herself, though for entirely different reasons. Tall, handsome rather than pretty, practically gender non-conforming in style, she wasn't a typical Golden Age actress by any stretch of the imagination.

...

Jews took over and hate wasp and chaste women

She was also somewhat of a brat, she had to get scolded on the set of Bringing up Baby

WHY CAN'T YOU BE IN A GOOD MOVIE?!!?

you know she models herself after Audrey right?

>WHY CAN'T YOU BE IN A GOOD MOVIE?!!?
she's not whorish enough, duh

Women are subhumans user, give women freedom and they dress like wild animals in the heat all the time, you notice when you see stupid teenage girls wear ridiculously short pants in schools. Dont get me started on white women trying to bikinis casual clothing either.

Men are the only reason women looked proper in the past they have no human decency nor shame at all simply animals.

she's doing a shit job compared to lily

...

Race mixing.

Always makes me think of old school actresses, kind of reminds me of Lauren Bacall. Beautiful, but in a strong, stoic way.

>openly bisexual in the 1930s
>modern actresses still think they're brave and edgy for coming out
