i forgot who runs this show but if they were to appear besides you and say that you can take one classic who alien and put it in new who, which would you pick?

>"...might have an incident."
>"New York isn't a capital city,"
>"Her name was River Song."

I challenge you to come up with something genuinely bad about Nardole. In the months leading up to yesterday, I saw nothing but low expectations for the episode, and one of the biggest complaints was Nardole's presence in it. I was skeptical too, but honestly, he made me chuckle once or twice, and he wasn't annoying at all, which a lot of people expected him to be.
And since the episode aired, people have been shitting on it — that's just how /who/ do, I suppose — but no one's actually been saying anything really bad about Nardole. I reckon it's cause no one's got anything of substance to say about him negatively.
So, go on: say something bad about the best nuwho companion. I dare you.

what?

'The Hound of Rassilon'' is the name of the Mark Gatiss episode.

Northern Irish actor Stephen Hagan will guest star as a main character in the episode. The episode will delve into an interesting portion of Irish mythology.

Screenshot this, so when the title and synopsis is revealed you'll know I was telling the truth..

The Sea Devils. But the whole conflict between the ancient reptilians and modern humanity has been dragged out, so they'd need a really good story.
You don't speak English? Huh? That it? You serve chips, do you? "Uhm user. Uh can't read."

weak bait

the ep was pure shit but he was one of the good things about it. I will say they should have dropped the little boys room bit

It's plausible-sounding. I'm sure Rassilon wouldn't be in it, but the Time Lords left a lot of technology just laying about. Wouldn't surprise me if Rassilon abandoned some beast in Ireland.

>It's plausible-sounding.
No it isn't, Connor.

It's not a beast. It's Cu Chulainn who was a TIme Lord warrior during the war against the great vampires. He was exiled to ancient Ireland as he was considered too dangerous and wild to keep on Gallifrey.

>Cu Chulainn
you mean the moon of trion? cause that's the only thing with that name in who mythos

...

>I ruled firmly but wisely
I agree with user, Nardole was GOAT. He's the next Rory, underrated at first but later he'll be reckoned as a good companion.

I thought the Christmas special was pretty nice. What did /who/ think?

Also
>or as I call him...
>Doctor what?
Belated meme magic.

fucking hell, why couldn't he be the next companion instead of another forgettable roastie? He seems like much more of an interesting character but I guess the writers are afraid of taking a risk and not having the companion be a damsel in distress for once.

>roastie
Back to

Image Nardole and Wilf together, that'd be GOAT

Hated the episode but liked him WAY better than I expected.

He is more like an actual assistant then a companion & I'm digging that.

Gawd help us all when Bill shows up...

>damsel in distress
Bill seems more like a bumbling girl than a damsel in distress but then again I could be proven wrong when the eps drop. Also,
>roastie
Y'all niggas are creative when it comes to slurs, I'll give you that.

Where did everything go so right?

The script and the actor

I'd really like to see us have a livestream rewatch of Doctor Mysterio in the coming days.

Series 2 was 10's worst written season.
Series 3 was 10's best written season.
Series 4 was 10's worst acted season.

>roastie
Apparently it's because a vagina looks like a roast beef sandwich. Put me right off roast beef sandwiches.

>You're not the only one who's full of it

what is a vagina?

How can other companions even compete?

What went wrong /who/?

>Put me right off roast beef sandwiches
>it's 2016 and people are still disgusted by eating pussy
C'mon son

>implying Clala The Improbable Girl could ever compete with those luscious highlander lips

faggot

"futuere" still exists

So why do you guys hate The Beast Below again?

twitter.com/OldRoberts953/status/742496927082815489

Oh so that's where this "meme" came from. Now we can disregard it.

I don't hate it myself, but I've seen people say that it's just too slow and political. I think Matt has a lot of really great moments in it, though, so I like it for that saving grace.
I love it when he comments on the little girl crying silently and says that children who cry silently are doing it because they just can't stop, and children who cry loudly are doing it for attention. "Every parent knows that," he says, and then Amy asks him if he's a dad and he just jumps to action.
And then the end bit when he shouts that nobody human has anything to say to him, and that he'll have to change his name after putting the Star Whale to sleep because he "won't be the Doctor anymore" is just fantastic.

Whenever I feel sad about the world, all I have to do is remember Davros just had his eyes shut all them years and I piss myself laughing.

Challenge: Try and post "Whenever I feel sad about the world, all I have to do is remember Davros just had his eyes shut all them years and I piss myself laughing" one word at a time without getting interrupted

no.

Whenever

Too bad the RTD era was at its height when they had the nigger sidekick in

Can we stop saying the N word please, it's very naughty and /who/ is a comfy place

I agree

>people hate The Beast Below
I swear /who/ has some stupid ideas sometimes, it's such a comfy episode and has a lot of great Matt moments.

who hates it?
it was okay.

It's a bit of a mess. Even Moffat sort of disavowed it IIRC. Starship UK is an evil dictatorship ruled by a benevolent queen who must be pretty stupid to not catch on that she's having her memory erased every ten years and they feed children to a star whale for not doing their homework even though it never eats children and it turns out they're been torturing the whale for hundreds of years to force it to carry them but when they stop it's like "I ain't even mad" and just continues to carry them because it's a super nice guy. Every other line just makes you wonder "What was he thinking?"

What was RTD thinking?

WHAT WAS RTD THINKING?!

WHAT THE FUCK WAS RTD THINKING?!

I was away for a couple of days

How was the special? I still now nothing about it

know*

It was good. One of the better specials.

...

We are LIVING

He was still a slightly irritating comedy character who will kill all tension in more dramatic episodes. He didn't make me laugh once unlike the other main characters. I'm sure he'll be popular with children.

I can grooooooow

YOU'RE A SUPERHEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Have I made myself clear?

We can still use nigga though?

You're one of us

Sticking to the wires, like bits of lint.

were the opening head alien blokes the same ones from last year and also that snake bloke from series 9

moffat really likes his opening head aliens recently haha

>and also that snake bloke from series 9
Colony Sarff? I didn't see him. But yeah it was the same monsters from the last special.

Come on, baby, show yourself.

Colony Sarff is a whole different business, he's some sort of snakehive.

Are you feeling strong?

Wasn't the Gatiss episode supposed ti be the sequel to Sleep No More?

nah it got cancelled after the poor reception of snm

>the sequel to Sleep No More
Christ no can we forget that thing was a thing?

And we could only do that through your eyes.

Get her into the TARDIS.

I kinda liked Sleep No More, I thought it was sp00ky

Here it comes. Pu-u-u-ush!

It had some sp00ky bits and could've been better if not for the whole tweest and the dumb monster origin

...

Christ.

Ok since everyone has probably shared their thoughts, my turn, I was expecting pure shit from this episode, was dreading Nardole and him being in Series 10, this episode was actually pretty good, I enjoyed it, Nardole wasn't annoying to me other that the little boys room thing, but other than that I could stand him or even like him, really loved the scene in the TARDIS with The Doctor and Nardole drinking tea while doing shit, like I really enjoyed that small scene. And if Nardole remains like he was here I am hyped for Series 10. Also god damn that shot of Capaldi at the end "Doctor Mysterio" was awesome. I truly believe we are in the golden age.

What is his endgame?

We all know this is the worst RTD-era episode but what's Moffat's era's?

In the Forest of the Night

The Snowmen

Honestly I now see this episode as kinda a classic in the same way I see Timelash as a classic of old who.

What the fuck is wrong with you?

Kill the Moon

...

We are so lonely in this part of town.

We are so lonely.

We are so lonely...

The episode 1 villain is revealed in the trailer - a dragon made of water.

You know you've fucked up when even the Doctor knows you're a beta.

episode 1 villain is the daleks

Pain.

Victory of the Daleks or Kill the Moon. Also Love & Monsters had some redeeming qualities, The Doctor's Daughter is my least favorite of the RTD era.

>Victory of the Daleks
>tfw I like it a bit because it was my first Dalek episode and spitfires in space and "THAT'S A BISCUIT!" "But you promised tea!"

But Georgia Moffett was a qt in that episode.
