A lot of the time it's probably cheaper because it uses SMT parts instead of through hole. SMT lines are a lot more automated, SMT parts are easier to fix, etc. The only real downside is that you can't do mods easily, though that would depend on the size the parts used. The circuits are usually just copies of popular pedals. So if you want a cheap pedal that you don't care about resale value and pedal that is pretty much a copy of your run of the mill Tubescreamers, Phases 90s, etc get one and see where it takes you.

Anyone here play an Agile guitar before? I've always wanted a Les Paul style guitar, and was going to cop a Gibson, but can't justify the cost.
