I've been meaning to read the new bios of Joni Mitchell and Stevie Nicks.

As far as bands/scenes go the "oral biography" seems dominant -don't know why people aren't interested in a more in-depth study- so I'd like to read Meet Me In The Bathroom and Mad World soon too.
