haha it was actually hilarious. i was at the venue earlier and witnessed the soundcheck. merzbow played different sustained noises through each of the 8 or so amps/speakers individually, and with one of them he paused, repeatedly tried to play an ugly distorted noise through it, started to look impatient and yelled at the tech people while they worked on fixing his amp until it was at exactly the right timbre he wanted. the set was like 2 hours... haha foam earplugs :)
this is nice. some good ideas. flesh out the initial ideas even more before refining perhaps.
