Something that will fit their tastes but isn't so well known that they will know about it. For example to my friends in a rock band I wouldn't play hip hop, I would play something like Tomorrow Never Knows and talk about how much I like the drums. For the hip hop dance group I would play a sick trap beat for the girls or old school rap for the guys. For the party animals I would play EDM. For that American expat who loves the NFL and country I would play Alan Jackson. For the girls? Something pop and inoffensive like What Lovers Do.
Hell I could even play something for the artsy girls who are plebs but want to pretend they have taste
