Which matchup for the semi's are you guys looking forward to?
I'm more excited for the Tokuharu-Sugao game. It could very well be the best game of the Koshien, especially since it's after a rest day. I think the finals will be Tenri and Tokuharu with the latter winning it all.
David Ward
i am looking for first semi the second i think that will be Tokai to win
but in the first both teams have good conditions to beat Tokai in the final so its gonna be a great game

>Also why is the field all dirt?? its only on this stadium, its a old one so it follows the old style of japanese baseball
Brayden Nguyen
learn about the small ball era of baseball. Ty Cobb is a god among mortals. learn about the japanese approach to yakyuu, it's overlap with zen. remember to utter "b-bakemono" everytime you see a player do something amazing.

Luis Williams
Points 3 - 0 Runs 1 - 4
Elijah Johnson
you can stop with your crazy gaelic score system?
soon you will think that normal runs gives you 3 points while HRs gives only one
Adrian Hughes
HR are just a form of foul, they dont count at all
Oliver Rivera
>midinning pitcher change Koryo coach scared of all these legit runs. Purple Priest Beast
Camden Perry
use this logic, imagine a baseball field with a endless fair area
imagine that someone bat the ball so far that nobody could reach the ball
that is HR like, even if counts a "foul" like your system, it will always have a way of batter escape from filders
Logan Peterson
except theres only so far a batter can hit and fielders can at any time desicde to change their fielding positions, so an infinite field would be fair and not at all favor the batters like the "HR" does and the current distance of a "HR" would often result in outs in that scenario.
Adam Martinez
>except theres only so far a batter can hit and fielders can at any time desicde to change their fielding positions
that would work if batter bat in a way that makes impossible to any filder catch the ball
its same as a HR
Nathan Foster
except there is no way to hit a ball that makes it impossible for the ball to be caught without going foul
Jack Edwards
you dont read the ENDLESS FAIR FIELD part?
you know how many infinite is?
Ayden Jones
>mfw when you try defend HR at point that you forgot that semi game 1 is being epic as fuck
Dylan Sanders
I miss you Saitama! ボイズ、行きましょう。
Joshua Perez
didnt read the part where batters dont have infinite strength? didnt read the part where fielding positions can start anywhere? an infinite field does not favor a batter more than the unfieldable foul area which gives points.
Dominic Diaz
Well in the park home runs would increase but also normalize scores because SOME balls would be fieldable while runs scored would be based on batting skill, placement, and speed than hit the ball hard.
Zachary Perez
Points 3 - 0 Runs 3 - 4
Koryo has almost catched up.
Aaron Ramirez
>didnt read the part where batters dont have infinite strength?
i dont told that they had it, only the field itself
>didnt read the part where fielding positions can start anywhere?
again do you know how big is the field?
>Well in the park home runs would increase but also normalize scores because SOME balls would be fieldable while runs scored would be based on batting skill, placement, and speed than hit the ball hard.
yet, hit the ball hard still counts at sense that if you hit the ball lot harder can be impossible to make a filder catch the ball
Isaac Lee
>mfw good game >phlosofical discussion about existence of HR
this is the best thread that we had in days
Parker Russell
>again do you know how big is the field? the field is infinite, this was established however the batter strength (and thus hitting range) is limited, this was also established its is already common to have a defense strategy where the pitchers and fielders work in tandem to direct batters into hitting in certain regions so they can focus on those regions of the field.
an infinite field increases use of many strategy and tactics. an infinite field increases the value of many skills. an infinite field does not promote a single strategy and emphasize the value of a small set of skills like the HR promotes.
Brody Barnes
>its is already common to have a defense strategy where the pitchers and fielders work in tandem to direct batters into hitting in certain regions so they can focus on those regions of the field. >an infinite field increases use of many strategy and tactics. >an infinite field increases the value of many skills. >an infinite field does not promote a single strategy and emphasize the value of a small set of skills like the HR promotes.
you forgot a detail, the number of players is still the same
with a bigger space, and with only few players, catch a ball its difficult it bat lunch a long ball even if his strongness is finite
also good batters know that, and know bat in a way that can make the ball go where they want independent of type of pitch
