Daily reminder: Power metal has been fighting against false metal since forever
Where the fuck is Holocausto—Campo del Extermino, Vulcano, Morbid Saint, Pleasure to Kill ffs?
power is THE false metal so they should do an hero
This but unironically.

>walking home from work
>Hear someone blasting death metal from a car not too far behind me
>Holy shit this is awesome, what is this shit?
>Car comes closer, gonna pass me soon, see if I can make any of it out
>Old beaten up piece of shit
>Not even playing music
>What I thought was really sick DM was just a metal part being dragged along the rode
>Realized I've wasted years of free time in the wrong scene
Anyhow, blasting youtube.com
how is it possible that such a shitty produced album sounds so good even after 30 years
Because metal is meant to have rough production
anyone else think blastbeats are overused
that's a vague statement. overused where?
there are styles which are basically "dude blastbeats lmao".
yes
CHECK THIS SHIT LADS IT FUCKING SLAYS

in more extreme thrash, they’re used too much as filler between the riffs that carry the song and becomes repetitive fast
yasssss qweeeeeeen
noice
why is the vocalist in a different room than where the mic is
IT'S FUCKING WHISKEY TIME
>in more extreme thrash, they’re used too much as filler between the riffs that carry the song and becomes repetitive fast
that's because thrash is an unironically dumb genre (both in a good and a bad way)
things moved on to BM and DM for a reason, and both have little of these problems
vocals sucks
Vocals are nice and murky, they fit well. Who gives a shit anyway when you have those instrumentals, just treat it as another guitar
they're not "nice and murky". they're recessed to all hell.
>just treat it as another guitar
what
you're fucking deaf, vocals are shit
what genre is this?

Why do I find death metal so boring?
I really wish I didn't. There's only a handful of DM albums I can listen to for more than 10 minutes.

shit thread
stop listening to whatever you're told is the "good" death metal. you could sit around all day listening to old school decapitated and hate every minute of it.
death metal is shit

Only one metalcore band I've ever really been into
youtube.com
Left Hand Path, Necrotisicm, and the first couple Pungent Stench albums are the only death metal I really like (I think I'm forgetting a couple albums), the rest I find pretty eh. Even like Autopsy, Suffocation, Asphyx, Morbid Angel and stuff, I've never managed to get into it. I really fuckign want to like it and I don't know why I don't.
Have you checked Dismember, Incantation, Demilich, Immolation, Nocturnus, etc?
Asphyx and Autopsy are death/doom, they're great but not everyone's cup of tea
Morbid Angel is super early DM which was still very, very thrashy.
Suffocation is brutal DM, if you don't like it try something not brutal or not from NY

what does sexuality have to do with music?
Haven't you heard the news about some guy who lives alone and is a big name in black "metal"?
I like a couple tracks off of The Key, the rest of those bands never really clicked with me.
>what does sexuality have to do with music?
well there are entirely gay genres such as power metal
I don't understand the connection
read my question
there's nothing wrong with being gay
t.blackie
how would that affect my taste in music though?
very clearly since you listen to "power" "metal", retard

Don't worry I got it
I'm beginning to think you faggots have no idea what that word even means
Blasting youtube.com
I don't see how musical taste translates to sexual preference. They are two entirely different things, defined by different causes.
You still haven't answered my question about that musician.
>complains about "millenials"
>endorses song titled "kill your boss"
>I'LL POST SOME GRAPH, THAT'LL TEACH THEM!
well that's p. weird
but anyway to each his own. there's a ton of different DM styles. and if you don't like it, there's always BM, thrash and doom
death is quite different from most genres and in many cases some albums clicked with me weeks if not months after I heard them. so I guess that's the only advice I can give.
those are the type of people that listen to sludge
Reminder that actual numales lurk and post here
Here's one of them
>giving advice for listening to music
you pretenders, if it doesn't attract you, don't force yourselves
who is dhis
and doom
why does this have faux Chinese font again
I am a millennial. I also live in a highly liberal city, and interact with these people every day. They are absolute cancer, constantly posting/talking about their white/male guilt, getting really emotional about stupid shit, and trying to have "intellectual" conversations about who understands black people the most or whatever.
They aren't. I know numales and at best they listen to Baroness and Ghost. The song "White Nigger" would pretty much lead most of these faggots to write a self-deprecating blog post about white privilege or some shit.
The only one I know into metal literally stopped listening to Pantera because they held some "racist" beliefs, won't go to concerts anymore because he got injured in a pit one time, and generally talks about getting more women into metal and shit.
seven churches of the east mentioned in the book of revelation
if you want to kill your boss, why are you complaining about "millenials"? You agree with them. Generations don't exist. And try to challenge yourself from time to time, don't conform in what some elders told you about manhood and ideas like that, don't be conservative. Fucks' sake, even the black "metal" movement put the axe to the grind and burned some churches. Don't follow the status quo.
that's pretty cool actually
well weren't they in Turkey or something
at least use faux Arabic font
t. actual nu-male
bro I mean that's sad and all but do you realize this is not a numale victim discussion forum
What the fuck are you on about?
I just said I'm not complaining about millennials, I'm saying this board overuses numale to describe anything it doesn't like, when in reality it describes a very specific kind of people.
Do you take all song titles literally? I was listening to "Tomb of the Mutilated" earlier today, so I automatically must endorse necropedophilia right?
Thinking "The Seven Churches of Asia" meant China and not Turkey
>song titles
>I was listening to "Tomb of the Mutilated"
unironically?
t. numale
not him but it's got some good songs on it
Fair enough, still my point stands.
People post shit, someone responds saying "numale" with no actual criticism, rhyme or reason. Like if someone posted this youtube.com
Yeah, thats fucking numale. Black Breath? You could say it sucks because x, but its in no way numale.
Opeth
>decide to finally give in and see what the hype is for Spotify
>after adding some metal artists, it recommends a curated playlist: "Metal Crash Course"
>fuck yeah, it'll be good to hear the classics
>the first several were as expected, solid songs from the elder gods
>then a bunch of artists I have NEVER heard of, never even heard mentioned before
>and I've listened to Enbilugigal, Igorrr and Łza Zeschniętej Róży
