This except I'm in It and Blood on the Leaves are god-tier and On Sight in ok-tier

I think it's a song that plays on what the album was expected to be or could have been entirely. There are other moments on the album where the production switches to "old Kanye" particularly on On Sight where it goes "He'll give us what we need, it may not be what we want". I think for a lot of Ye fans it really was what they needed and not what they wanted.

but bound 2 is unironically one of his most candid songs he's ever put out and a great track. only plebs see it as trash because of that awful music video.

it works perfectly as the album closer, it's like the sun finally coming out after a rainstorm or something. the smoothness of it contrasts really well with the abrasiveness of the rest of the album.

Bound 2 is the comedown. After Kanye’s persona breaks down after he tears at the inherently broken promises of hyperconsumerism and its intersection with modern day racism in America, Kanye realizes that the “city” has nothing left to offer him. So he retreats from trying to be the political/cultural voice of a generation and becomes insular, being who the fuck he wants and doing what the fuck he wants, whether that’s embracing his roots in soul sample heavy beats or fucking his wife on a motorcycle.

Without Bound 2, Yeezus is just a guy slowly going insane from the world. Bound 2 gives it all purpose, and helps bridge the gap between Yeezus and Pablo.

I liked the song. It's not his best or his worst by any measure.
His best is obviously Jesus Walks.

Did you even listen to the song? It's a bittersweet love ballad about a possibly doomed relationship with incredibly nostalgic production.
Putting it at the end of the album is Kanye essentially saying that song is the end of 'old Kanye' and moving into a new era of more experimental music, which continued on to The Life of Pablo

Bound 2 is a fantastic closer and a very good song in its own right. Kanye autism incoming:

Drunk and Hot Girls is one of the best tracks on Graduation. The production is dark and brooding and way ahead of its time and the lyrics set up MBDTF and Yeezus very nicely

This guy gets it. The foreshadowing of bound 2 is crazy.

The music video is obviously intentionally cheesy. The whole fucking song is intentionally cheesy, it's based around a cheesy sample. Kanye knows how to make a serious artistic music video and in general takes his videos very seriously; the best explanation by far for the low production quality and overall crappiness of Bound 2's video is that it was intentional.

Read the translation of the Hungarian rock song sampled at the very end of New Slaves - it literally describes the sun rising after the long night or something along those lines. More crazy foreshadowing and another reason that Bound 2 is essential to the album thematically if not narratively.
