I mostly just wanted to talk about synthesizers

...

What gear you using now? I’ve got a teenage engineering op-1 being delivered Thursday so I’ve been busy studying the manual

If anyone sees an Elka Rhapsody string machine in the wild, LET ME THE FUCK KNOW
I got to have that soaring sound.

I have a Korg Minilogue, yeah, I'm a normie, but I want to get a drum machine, and / or a Streichfett.

Finally put my new drum machine together

If you can’t swing them cl prices the meng-qi roll-5 pcb are awesome. I’m about to start building the newest version

I got a Korg Minilogue earlier this month and I have been glued to the damn thing

Here are some things you should try
>Wurlitzer sound
>Analog Strings
>Bass monosynth
>Slow filter sweep pads with resonance

Miinilogue is great for an accordion type sound too.

Who else into eurorack? I put this Metasonix euro together

Serge pron

though I like the 'hands on' approach best exemplified by what you have posted there, I am more than a bit partial to the Fairlight set up myself.

This has been my favorite synth lately, the Sidrazzi organ

Lewd Buchla

i don't understand how you play on these things

It’s just like learning any instrument, I guess. Here are some great resources for introduction

LET'S PLAY, MASTER AND SERVANT.

Modular doesn't inspire me and it sounds all metallic and german

Modular can be just your normal synth components only in discrete parts, but obviously most people choose to do weirder stuff with it

Doepfer sounds all scrapey-slippy

FM sounds really warm to me
