>Science guy explains bullshit science thing where one can still grasp the basic idea despite the complicated jargon explanation
>Literally theres one retard in the room who doesnt get it and says "In engrish please!"
>Bill Nye has to do a retarded goddamn puppet show so Special Ed can follow along while wasting everyones time in the process
Im kind of sick of this trope
>Dr. Weir: "What's the shortest route from point A to point B?"
>Young crew member: "A straight line"
>*everybody laughs*
Why did they laugh? They were just as clueless as he was.
People hate everything they can't understand. So you get to be annoyed for 2 minutes while they make sure the 50% of the population that falls below average is up to speed with everything.
A character must appeal to the mentally handicapped part of the movie's audience.
this one in particular is unacceptable
bitch is some kind of military officer surrounded by technology in an outfit that regularly uses latin words and phrases as jargon, and you're telling me she's never heard the phrase "terra firma"? or if she has, she's too fucking stupid to use the context clues provided (read: giant space drill digging into the earth)?
i hate MoS for a lot of reasons and that dumbass line is one of them
So whats the worst example of this being done? Like the simplest explanation/plan ever where they still feel the need to dumb it down even further.
OK, now in English, professor.
Tbh irl a lot of officers are as clueless as her
Show us how raptors hunt again
I think at that point, the definition of terraforming becomes fucking irrelevant when the giant alien death machine starts pounding the earth. Like I can understand a scientist being concerned about what the purpose of the machine is so he knows the threat level and the best action to stop it. But for her and every other officer? Just shut the fuck up and wait for someone to tell you to do your job so we can get through this. Because the last thing people want is some asshat fucking up his duty because hes still wondering what fucking terraforming is. Also semi related because DC
>CW Flash show
>Black Dad Cop cant grasp what parallel/alternate dimensions are
I've been thinking but I don't know. However, this is semi-related: youtube.com
This is a scene from Chappie (shitty movie I stopped watching after 50 min). It pisses me off so much. Like what the fuck. I'm not even gonna explain it because I am feeling anger.
She's like twelve. Makes sense.
