Why hasn't there been a Death Metal revival yet?
Why hasn't there been a Death Metal revival yet?
Because every death metal album already got made
uhh
thank
check out Desecresy
Because it's never truly gone away in the metal underground
Because there was no point in pursuing the genre after it peaked.
see: entombedcore
Yeah, I was about to say, death metal is still around. It's not like thrash.
This.
Hardcore with death metal production is not death metal.
Unironically this.
Death metal rose and died in the 90s. Let it be.
There has been but for some reason you haven't noticed

Check out Undergang and Phrenelith
it's counter-thetical to the genre
Autopsy also still makes good music. They always make consistent good death metal.
Eh, close enough
i thought pissgrave's album was going to be a really inspirational new starting point death metal
apparently not. :(
yeah, anuscore death metal didn't quite cut it I guess.
too much feces even for the most diehard of shitlords.
Where have you been? Ever since Choosing Death and that Swedeath history book came out, you can't bloody get up in the morning without stumbling over a new OSDM revival act. Only good ones I've seen thus far are Funebrarum, Disma, Undergang and Dead Congregation; the rest are 3rd-rate rehashed shite
Slow ya roll
Death metal never died, so it can't be revived. There have always been new death metal releases, consistently, every single year.
came here to post this
OSDM revival is a thing right now though.
