Does Sup Forums use Popcorn Time?

whatts that

its not as good as exodus

Is it working again? I used it last year and it stopped working at some point

don't use it because I'm a eurocuck and don't like sucking jewish lawyer dicks
I can live with kodi tho

It's a streaming service akin to netflix. It's free and you don't pay for it.

What's the point it's exactly the same as torrenting

piracy

Who puttlocker here?

It's streaming therefore you've got no legal issues

It's still up, people are getting caught with it but I'm guessing that they aren't using a VPN.

>using poporn time

No. We use Netflix

>Using netflix

>45 minutes into the movie
>Suddenly movie stops, light goes up
>There's an announcement that 15 minutes popcorn time starts now after which the movie will resume
>People are only allowed to eat their snacks during those 15 minutes

I understand people making noise with their food was a problem but I'm not sure this new popcorn time fad is the right solution.

wrong
the legal issues come through the seeding/uploading of a copyrighted file which also happens while using popcorn time(the basic concept of torrenting)

if you use a VPN you don't have to give a shit anyway, but make sure you set-up a kill-switch since even seeding a couple of seconds can get you into unnecessary trouble.
so better pay those 10 bucks for a good VPN and have a peace of mind, since those lawyer firms don't fuck around

I shouldn't be like this but all the assholes had to ruin it for everyone. It's better than hearing all that obnoxious eating during the movie honestly.

>so better pay those 10 bucks for a good VPN and have a peace of mind

Might as well pay for netflix.

But when i'm simply watching a movie on popcorn time I'm not seeding/uploading anything, am I?

>paying to pirate

>people are getting caught with it but I'm guessing that they aren't using a VPN.
What kind of fucking dystopian society you live at that torrenting will actually "get you caught"

Such is life in yuropistan

botnet time

It's rare but companys purposely leak their movie/music/games and catch people and report them to their internet provider.

Yes, you are. I received a cease-and-desist letter from my ISP from using popcorn time. I too thought it was safe, but its just removing the middleman programs from watching torrented movies.

sure, if you only like watching stuff that netflix has on demand.
with a VPN you can torrent everything you wish from music, tv-shows, movies, games and pc programms without giving a single shit about legal issues

you are uploading while watching/downloading
that's the whole premise of torrenting. it relies on the user who have the files and they seed them so others can download them

so if you realy don't want to risk anything but also not want to pay for a VPN, stick to ACTUAL streaming, where the data is only cached/downloaded but never uploaded.
get familiar with kodi and the Exodus addon and you have the same experience as within popcorn time

>with a VPN you can torrent everything you wish from music, tv-shows, movies, games and pc programms without giving a single shit about legal issues

I download music all the time without a VPN and I've never got caught. I think it's mainly people who download Movies/Shows who get caught. Not sure about Video Games but it's probably easy too.

a virus

This sounded interesting but it's bullshit, huh?

It works but you aren't secured

>a virus
How can someone be this retarded

For fuck's sake, streaming is downloading. It's literally downloading to your cache and if you're even slightly tech savvy you can download it directly.
The only reason it's not as policed as torrents is because there are a gorillion third-party streamfag sites.

But you know what there aren't a gorillion of, and which normies love? An open-ended client that aggregates links to said third-party stream sites.
An open-ended client that can log your IP and what site you click on, even managing the stream for you so you're not subjected to popup ads. (Normies love not having to do work).

So I am positive that Popcorn Time and Kodi and all these other fucking things are a honeypot. It's the MPAA's big offensive on streamfags and it's well past overdue.
Who will get it in the ass though? Not Juan Huehue of Brasilia or Ivan Ivanov of Russia, but your dad who showed you Kodi when you came over for Christmas like it was the best thing ever. He's going to have to pay an $8,000 settlement for watching those 1080p screeners of Sing and Rogue One.

I didn't know movie studios hire Autists to shill online
