I like your taste. Have not seen Arrival yet but would very much like to as soon as my anxiety allows me to go out.

>3 are from 2015
Really makes you think!
Knight of Cups, 13 Hours, Cemetery of Splendor.
post your top 5s.
Are the people saying The Lobster, Green Room and The Witch third world eurotrash?
Those three films did not open in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (HOME COUNTRY OF OUR BELOVED 4CHANNEL) until the year 2016 of Jesus Christ.
I haven't seen any films from 2016 that I have enjoyed yet
Nocturnal animals was SOLID.
I walked out of the lobster, reminded me too much about Dogtooth
They were all shown only on film festivals before 2016.
haahaHAHAHAAH
1. Hacksaw Ridge
2. La La Land
3. Arrival
4. Manchester by the Sea
5. Rogue One
1. The Handmaiden
2. The Neon Demon
3. The VVitch
4. Arrival
5. La La Land
>The Neon Demon
lmao you must be joking.
Hunt for the Wilderpeople, The Wailing and The Neon Demon
I don't go to the cinema so I've only seen the films that have leaked so far, and I'm only counting films that IMDB says are from 2016
Manchester by the sea
Wrong then, right now
Cemetery of splendor
Jackie
La la land
Moonlight
Aferim
Btw I hated Midnight Special, Hell or High Water, Hail, Caesar! and The Nice Guys even though I expected to like them all
The Hollywood blockbusters were all really, really bad this year too. The worst being Warcraft, Star Trek Beyond and Suicide Squad
>all these people who think Refn isn't a complete hack
lmao back to film school
Everybody Wants Some!!
Neon Demon
Green Room
Manchester by the Sea
Chevalier
Arrival was total shit but the other choices aren't bad desu.
Handmaiden is my MOTY.
do you sometimes even think about the things you post
would you say them out loud to people face to face? or is that just your internet persona?
I've seen The Lobster and as much as this doesn't happen very often, I feel like the central theme and motif of the movie went over my head. Would you mind sharing what made it so good to you so I can get a different perspective on it?
Are you suggesting that anything someone says on Sup Forums should be completely acceptable to say out loud and in public?
stop trying to look for a way to feel superior, dopey.
1.Toni Erdmann
Forgot the rest.
Hi OP,
I can agree on 2 and 3. Rest I haven't seen so I will treat it as a recommendation and I am even going say 'thanks!'.
Is it actually funny? Even in subtitles?
Not enough love for Hacksaw Ridge in this thread.
>>>/reddit/
no, you must be a pleb.
The lobster is overrated trash
WOW OP you are a fucking nightmare.
Batman V Superman: Kino edition
Hypernormalisation
WITCH
Sup, bro?
but both the lobster and the witch are 2015 films? this invalidates the list, come up with a new one
Oh yeah and macbeth
Its bitter sweet. Dunno about subes.
pretentious pseudo intellectual nerd detected
spaghetti!
There's everything I saw ranked. Top 14 are the only ones I'd actively recommend, but only 28 onwards were bad.
By UK release dates because fuck you.
fucking pleb, kill yourself
I actually agree with your list except in a different order
Neon Demon
The Witch
The Lobster
Arrival
Green Room
Havn't seen nocturnal animals yet but it could have potential.
Sicario is # 6
The Lobster was trash, legitimately one of the most painful movies I've ever watched because all the characters are so blatantly retarded and autistic
Silence (Martin Scorsese)
Dunkeldeutschland (Juliane Jaschnow, Stefanie Schroeder)
025 Sunset Red (Laida Lertxundi)
Nocturama (Bertrand Bonello)
AS WITHOUT SO WITHIN (Manuela De Laborde)
Nightlife (Cyprien Gaillard)
It has a Golden Red Sun and an Elderly Green Moon (Ulla von Brandenburg)
Vertigo Sea (John Akomfrah)
Republique (Alexandre Galmard)
Lumapit Sa Akin, Paraiso (Stephanie Comilang)
...
Bump.
Nice, haven't heard of any of these except Silence. Available for torrents? .

In no particular order:
>Manchester By The Sea

>Elle
>Hacksaw Ridge
honorable mentions: Everybody Wants Some, Paterson, Sully, Green Room
Hi, Isiah.
The Handmaiden
Deadpool
Hail, Caesar!
The Wailing
10 Cloverfield Lane
Nocturama was empty, pseudo-provocative garbage. The opening sequence was brilliant and it went absolutely nowhere after that
The Alchemist Cookbook
Maudite Poutine
The Was
Baden Baden
Oh What a Wonderful Feeling
She's Allergic to Cats
Still Life
Dreamstates
The Love Witch
All These Sleepless Nights
i couldn't bring myself to pay to see it once i read some scathing reviews from linguists and cultural anthropologists. i'm going to torrent it once it comes out
>being polite is reddit
I am sorry someone triggered your autism there friendo
>The Love Witch
Is it actually worth sitting through this movie? I feel like I got everything I wanted from looking at a few high-res stills, and reading an interview with the DP.
Arrival
Nocturnal Animals
Hell or High Water
The Witch
Manchester by the Sea

We voted on this. r8
1. Arrival
2. Hacksaw Ridge
3. Batman v Superman
4. The Nice Guys
5. 13 Hours
Yea I thought it was really funny, definitely underrated no one really talked about it
Not the same poster, but I liked it too. I watched it again with my family a few days ago, and they didn't even crack a smile. They usually have pretty good taste in comedy. I dunno. I think it requires a pretty high tolerance for "obnoxious" humor, which not everybody has
>american Sup Forums
I wanted to see Arrival, The Witch, and The Lobster in theaters but it didn't happen.
All I saw in a theater this year was BvS (total shit), The Neon Demon (another one of those films bulging with other film references in a more obtuse way and if you try to explain it to anyone they don't know what you're talking about), and Rogue One.
Going to the movies is a fucking slog nowadays.
i guess i can get that. it helps if you're familiar with the lonely island and andy samberg in particular (get them to watch hot rod first)
no particular order
moonlight
arrival
manchester by the sea
hell or high water

Am I crazy or did Hong Sang-soo have another film this year, besides RNWT?
It started off great but then you fell off the deep end
I would like to be your friend
Further confirming Sup Forumseddit is shit
Handmaiden
Swiss Army Man
The Accountant
everything else was complete ass!
Yes
It's really well made (war scenes are Saving Private Ryan-tier) and you probably only know everything that happens to just one character of many
